Vehicle Detail
This is a former patrol vehicle retired from a local police agency. It has the expected holes in the dash trim and the trunk lid from police equipment that has been removed. Both rear door panels have holes from removed window screens. Body has scratches and what appears to be a dent from a deflected gunshot. The spotlight was removed from the driver's door pillar, but the wiring and the mounting hole is intact. Map light is missing from the headliner. Dashboard has some traces of a mystery adhesive that I was unable to remove for fear of damaging the finish. There is no spare or jack. Brakes and shocks appear to be in good condition. The car feels solid like a CVPI should. Tires are RSA's, but will need replacement soon. The department of origin (Las Cruces Police Department, NM) intentionally destroyed all the locks on the car due to so many keyed-alike cars in the fleet, so they have all been replaced with new ones. Engine runs rough. I am not a mechanic, so the problem has not been diagnosed. It may be a minor or a major issue. No check engine light appears and no trouble codes are displayed. The front header panel (where the headlights sit) was replaced due to damage to the original one. The low mileage (just under 104k) is unusual for this region. This is a restoreable cruiser. It is offered without a warranty and is not returnable. I can trailer the car within this region for a reasonable fee, if needed. Otherwise, shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. If the winner intends to drive this vehicle from point of origin in Southern N.M., a temporary operating permit must be obtained from the New Mexico MVD. On Jul-05-13 at 14:01:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Additionally, this is a 100% rust-free car that spent its working life right here in the beautiful Southwest. On Jul-14-13 at 09:32:37 PDT, seller added the following information: FLASH! Reserve and "Buy it Now" prices lowered to move this vehicle fast. I have too many Crown Vics and must make room! Scoop up this low-mileage Police Interceptor and make it your own. I don't want to part this one out because it would be a shame. Thank You for viewing and bidding on my auction!
