Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 76 Plymouth Volare. I bought this about 4 months ago from the original owners family. It was from upstate NY yet is very rust free. It was only used in the summer and stored in a barn in the winter. They ran thru several Jeep trucks in the winter to keep this car decent. The body is very clean but has been dented and fixed a few times. It has been repainted at least once and the passenger side fender has been repainted maybe twice. I have found a hole in the firewall right near the brake booster. It looks as if tree litter was caught in the drain area and sat and rusted the firewall thru with a hole about the size of a stick of gum. I found a patched spot in the rear quarter panel inside the trunk but the rest of the trunk is perfect. All the trim and bumpers are all in good shape and yes, the passenger side mirror is not original nor does it match the drivers side. The motor runs great. I swapped out the original carb and stuck duel exhaust on it that only goes to the front of the rear. The mufflers are new Flowmasters but the rest of the exhaust is a hodge podge of pieces and leaks at a few spots. The front end is tight but pulls a little to the right. The tires are getting thin so I haven't bothered getting it lined up. Brakes are all good. The rear has a Suregrip (posi unit) but i'm not sure of the gear ratio. Interior is good with the drivers seat being torn up some. It has one crack in the dash pad. The lower panel below the dash was brittle and shattered into a bunch of pieces and it doesn't have an ashtray door. The carpet is in good shape and the headliner has been repainted blue like the outside. It has the factory AM radio, cruise control, and tilt column. The gas gauge is way off with low being at about a 1/4 tank on the gauge and full is way up past the full mark. This car runs and drives great and it will bury the 100 mph speedo and still drive smooth. The only reason I am selling this is to make room for another project that just followed me home. This a fun car and I get thumbs up and comments everywhere I go. I am in Oxford, Pa. 19363. A $500 NONREFUNDABLE deposit is due within 48 hrs of auction ending. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction ending. Thanks for looking.
