Vehicle Detail

This car started life as a Verdugo green with brown interior 1975 Firebird Formula with a Pontiac 400 and turbo 350 Transmission. It is now basically a street legal SCCA race car with a 470inch pontiac 455 and an Art Carr built 2004rAOD automatic overdive transmission with a manual valve body. The engine was dynoed at 530ft-pounds of torque at 3800RPM and 425 horsepower at 5000RPM. See engine mods below. This car gets lots of looks, attention, and thumbs up wherever it goes. I hate to sell this car. It is my personal vehicle that has been stored winters and driven rarely in the summer. I'm only selling it to make time, money, and room for another project. This car has been in Nevada forever and has zero rust. I have owned this vehicle for 5 wonderful years. The gentleman that owned it before me was the second owner and heavy into SCCA racing. He had owned it since 1981. When he bought the car at that time it had about 50 thousand miles on it when he began the build. He told me its never been left outside overnight sice he got it in 81 and it shows. He built the car. The only additions I have made to the car are the C4 Corvette seats and the 1972 front end. He had a fiberglass front end installed for SCCA racing and in my opinion it was hideous. He also had fiberglass racing seats that were hard as rocks. I wanted the car a little more street friendly and comfortable. The front end and new valance are not color matched to the paint on the car. The endura nose is painted a satin black and the valance is the raw black ABS it came in. It currently has only 73,000 original miles. About 15 thousand on the current drivetrain. The tranny in this pontiac was built by Art Carr himself back in the day before he sold the rights to his own name and was still doing things himself. This car drives and sounds great. Everything works as it should even all the gauges. The paint is over 20yrs old but is still beautiful and presentable. It is a black basecoat clear coat with lots of clear and a dark cherry purple metallic pearl that you can only see barely under direct sunlight. It also has ghost flames coming off the hood scoops. It looks great but there are a few small chips here and there when you get up close. Nothing major. I have sold many cars on ebay accross the country and around the world and I am very honest with my descriptions. My feedback shows that. You will not be disappointed as long as you read the description. The car could use new upper door panels. One hairline crack in the dash under the dash mat. The rest of the interior is perfect. There is no hood release installed yet since I put the 72 front end on. I have a tool I have made in the trunk for reaching through the grill to the release lever. I kind of liked being the only one that could open the hood so I never installed a factory style release. They can be had for fairly cheap on ebay. The driver side honeycomb 72 grill has an approximately 2x3 inch piece missing from it. These grills are getting hard to find so I was going to install a factory 455 emblem to cover it. Never got around to it. These are all minor flaws and easy fixes, but I prefer to have the buyer know exactly what they are getting. No surprises. I am easy to deal with as long as you are honest and communication is made. Please do not bid if you have negative or zero feedback without contacting me first. Car is sold as is with no warranty implied. Buyer will pay for and arrange shipping. Car will be paid for in full before car is shipped or picked up. Of course I will help assist in the loading of the car. 1000$ deposit required through paypal within 24hrs of auction ending. Remainder of balance will be paid in cash, bank wire transfer, cashiers check from Bank of America or Wells fargo. I have no problem storing this vehicle for you for a month or two until you can arrange to pick it up as long as its paid for. Clear title in my name. Overseas bidders are welcome as long as they comply with my requirements. My reserve is very low for this car so bid to find it. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
