It needs a transmission! As you can tell from the photos, we can drive it around the lot for the pictures but that's about it. We don't even want to risk taking it to our off-site storage lot which is less than 2 miles away for fear that it won't make it. It's "fine" when it's cold but as soon as it starts to heat up the transmission starts to slip and pretty soon...... nothing! The "check engine" light is illuminated and the stored code is the "death" transmission code. A visit to a local junkyard or an online directory such as Car-Part would probably produce a used transmission for a lot less than the $4,000 we would charge to replace it with a rebuilt Honda transmission with a factory warranty. There are a few other items in need of attention: #1 Most obvious is the damage to the plastic rear bumper cover on the right side above the exhaust pipe which we highlight in two photos. #2 There's a wiper scratch on the driver's side of the windshield. #3 The air-conditioning is pretty anemimc and cools the air a few degrees if at all. Other than those items, it starts right up, runs smoothly and comes equipped with nearly brand new tires all around, heated leather front seats, AM/FM/CD Player stereo and 3 rows of seats.
