Up for sale is my 1982 Honda CBX. I am the third owner since new. It currently has 21K miles on it. The bike was first put into service in March of 1985. This motorcycle retains most of its original equipment with the following exceptions: hand grips, tires, exhaust, and battery. The tires (AVON Roadrider) and exhaust (Delkevic) have been replaced in the last few weeks to bring it to top operating condition (which, by the way, if you are looking at other bikes be sure to check the condition of the exhaust as it is an expensive item to replace and they all rust out between the head pipes and the muffler---this one has been done). The battery was new last year. Illuminated Hondaline altimeter gauge and clock have been added to the fairing back when the bike was nearly new. The original owner’s manual and tool kit also come with the bike (the air gage is MIA). The original paint is very nice with no chips anywhere on the bike. The saddle is in mint condition as a Corbin saddle has been in place on the bike most of its life. I had just purchased a replacement Corbin saddle prior to deciding to sell and it will be available in a separate auction as will a few other additional items. This motorcycle has always been stored in a climate controlled, attached garage from day one. You will not find any corrosion on the engine casings, frame, inside the gas tank, etc. This was very important to me when I purchased this bike. There are a lot of these bikes out there but not all of them have been stored and maintained properly over the last 30 years….this one has. I removed the bags and bag racks with the kit from TIMS as I prefer the cleaner look of the bike without the bags and I do not use the bike for touring, only local riding. The bags and racks are included in the sale and I will put them back on prior to shipment or local pick-up if you prefer. Or, I will ship them separately. There are no issues with this bike. All of the maintenance is up to date and all normal wear items have been addressed. This is definitely one that you can fly in and ride home. Please feel free to contact me with questions. The reserve is set at a reasonable level based upon other bikes that I have seen sell on eBay as I intend to sell it not just "test the waters."
