1980 Porsche 911SC Weissach Edition For your consideration is this beautiful limited edition 911SC (Option code M439) Weissach Edition. With a limited, one year run of only 408 examples produced by Porsche, only 67,562 original miles and still wearing 100% of it’s original paint makes this car one you do not want to miss! -Exterior- The body is in very good original condition. The platinum metallic paint is all original, this 911 has never been painted or touched up!!! This Weissach wears the same paint it left the factory with in 1980! There are a handful of small imperfections, which would be considered normal for a car this age…the ones really worth mentioning are a small dent beneath the driver’s side headlight and a chip in the paint at the leading edge of the hood. Taking into consideration the age of the paint, I would consider the condition to be good to very good. The underbody, including battery tray, floors, front pan etc… are all 100% free of rust. -Interior- Each Weissach Edition’s interior was finished in Doric Grey leather with burgundy piping, which was unique to this model only. Overall the interior is in good original condition. The seats are original and have only a very minimal amount of wear, mainly on the driver’s seat bolster. The rear seats are simply flawless The dash is perfect, no cracks, no warping. The door panels and map pockets excellent original condition. This 911 spent it’s entire life in an enclosed garage so there is absolutely no sun damage. The air conditioning components are all present, however I am not sure if it blows cold or not as the belt is off of the compressor. -Engine & Transmission- The engine is in outstanding mechanical condition, the 3.0 litre numbers matching power plant is perfectly tuned, starts right up on the first try each and every time, idles smoothly and runs as strong as it did when it was new. This car is simply provides the driver with nothing but pure enjoyment behind the wheel. This machine does not burn or leak a drop of oil. The transmission shifts seamlessly through the all of the gears with no slipping or grinding. There are no strange noises or vibrations from the engine or drive train, all you hear is the music of the flat six engine. The ride in this 911 is great, there are no squeaks, rattles or other unwanted noises, the car drives straight and true...there is nothing indicating this car is 33 years old!
