Yes this is one sharp '49 Packard Standard 8 Touring Sedan and it only has 56,783 ACTUAL - ORIGINAL MILES according to the previous owner however we have no way of proving it. The color combination on this car is STUNNING. This is a RARE Packard Standard 8 Touring Sedan which NEVER fails to turn heads and is RARE indeed as they only made 12,532 of them in 1949 ! This car shows and runs EXTREMELY well. We purchased this rare '49 Packard from a collector in Montana who had owned the car for the last several years. He bought the car from the estate of the previous owner who lived in North Idaho and had owned the car for many years. I drove this car for several days as my daily driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it ran and drove very well. If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come see and drive this BEAUTY for yourself, you won't be disappointed !!It still retains what appears to be its STRONG - ORIGINAL - 288 CID - "Flathead Straight Eight" cylinder motor in it and running very well. The previous owner told me that the engine was professonally - completly rebuilt approx fourteen years ago but does not have many miles since as this car was only driven occassionally. I noticed under the hood on the firewall the correctly mounted - ORIGINAL - Cowl Mounted Packard Data Plate shown in a picture below. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - "3 ON THE TREE" - 3 Speed Manual Transmission which also functions well. The ALL ORIGINAL ( Yes, that's not a misprint original interior !) Tan Camel Checkered Cloth and light Tan Wool Cloth Interior is in GREAT condition for being 63 years old including a good Original Tan Camel Checkered cloth front seat that has several small imperfections, NICE ORIGINAL Tan Camel checkered cloth rear seat with factory rear seating area foot rests and dual side arm rests, VERY NICE ORIGINAL wood veneer dash - VERY NICE ORIGINAL gauge cluster's - NICE ORIGINAL Packard steering wheel - NICE ORIGINAL Rubber floor mat up front - good ORIGINAL brown carpeting - NICE ORIGINAL Wood Veneer on door panels, NICE ORIGINAL Light Tan Wool door panels and a GOOD Original wool headliner with some imperfections. Up until about a year ago the seats had seat covers on them which is why the upholstery has survived so long. This car shows and runs EXTREMELY well. We purchased this rare '49 Packard from a collector in Montana who had owned the car for the last several years. He bought the car from the estate of the previous owner who lived in North Idaho and had owned the car for many years. I drove this car for several days as my daily driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it ran and drove very well. It still retains what appears to be its STRONG - ORIGINAL - 288 CID - "Flathead Straight Eight" cylinder motor in it and running very well. The previous owner told me that the engine was professonally - completly rebuilt approx fourteen years ago but does not have many miles since as this car was only driven occassionally. I noticed under the hood on the firewall the correctly mounted - ORIGINAL - Cowl Mounted Packard Data Plate shown in a picture below. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - "3 ON THE TREE" - 3 Speed Manual Transmission which also functions well. The ALL ORIGINAL ( Yes, that's not a misprint original interior !) Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. We prefere a bank to bank wire transfer of funds as payment as this is the safest for you and for us. We do not accept any paypal payments. A 25% deposit is due within 3 days of the end of auction. The remainder is due within 7 days of the auction ending. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing, your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
