This is a 1971 Honda SL350 K1. New Bridgestone Trail Wing tires a couple years ago, but I have only put on a few hundred miles since. Mostly she has been a garage queen who gets a ride or two through the neighborhood or out in the nearby country a couple times a year. Has new petcock, fuel line with in-line filters, did carb kits a year or so ago and re-set the floats to correct level this spring. The rear shocks are new Boge units and they look and work great. I have the originals and they will be packed into a box with other spares. The chain and front sprocket are newer. She runs and shifts fine with a strong clutch. I put a new battery in this spring. She has a polished aluminum front fork brace. New points, points plate, and plugs. Cylinder compression at plug change was 160 on both cylinders. She will still hit the red line (at least in the first three gears). I changed the oil this spring and all ready to go. I also have the full tool kit and Clymer manual for Honda 350 that covers the SL's and the other 350's. The exhaust system just got a new coat of high temperature ceramic paint and new exhaust gaskets. The mufflers have been brazed in a couple places but do not leak and are original to the bike and quite serviceable. Wouldn't be a proper SL without those distinctive exhausts. This is a 42 year old motorcycle and these exhausts are very hard to find in decent condition. These bikes are fairly rare in that they were produced for only a few years. The K1 is about 45 pounds lighter than the K0 (1970) with a double down-tube frame and no electric starter. Starts on the second kick if cold, warm on the first kick every time. Not hard to kick and unlike a 2-stroke, will not throw you back over the bike or rip your shin. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. The bike will not be released until funds have cleared.
