* Car is being immediately re-listed. Last bidder did not realize car is manual* 1998 Beetle fun to drive Beetle was purchased for a temporary employee and then immediately serviced by an auto mechanic garage. I instructed the shop to fix any mechanical problems with the car. The AC was serviced and is ice cold, a new battery was installed, alternator and the fan shroud was replaced for a total of $1,100. A new windshield was installed by my insurance company due to it being chipped. The check engine light has been on since purchased and I was told by the auto mechanic that it appears the computer just needs resetting. The car was then driven 50 miles daily for two months without a problem. This beetle does not leak or burn oil and has been parked at my home for the past month. I think the car would make a great fixer upper or "supe it up" your way. The car does have a list of minor issues like it needs new headliner. The seats could use some dusting and the passengers side rear view mirror does not appear to be the correct one. There are some plastic bits on the inside missing, like seat handles and a piece where the console is. The hood does stay down but I believe the latch needs to be replaced, because it doesn't lock down. The drivers side door handle does not seem to work correctly, as the key just turns lock like its loose (just started) and the door handle will not open from inside on the drivers side. This most likely a minor issue but with everything, I 'am no car expert. Car is being sold as is without a reserve. Feel free to visit me and test drive the car. Thank You
