Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner. This Roadrunner has been owned by the same family since the early 70's, and has not been registered in years. I picked up up about 6 months ago as this body style has always been one of my favorites. I am currently restoring a couple 67 Plymouths and this one is going to be sitting for a while so I figured I would offer it up to someone who will get to it a little sooner. It still retains its original 340 and automatic transmission as well as its 8 3/4 3.23 sure grip. The car starts right up and drives. I drive it around the block occasionally to keep it going. The family I bought it from also gave me some pictures of the car from the early 70's when they used to drive it. I have a clear title for the car, and I was able to find the build sheet in the driver seat, but like a few others I have found over the years, The sequence number is slightly off. This was common back in the manufacturing process to just grab whatever seats that were matching the color they needed. I am including a lot of pictures of the car, and tried to get as detailed as I could. It was hard to get a good picture of the engine and tranny numbers, but you can tell in the pictures and I assure you it is numbers matching. The car does have quite a bit of rust. Someone started an amateur restoration sometime in the past, so there are some repairs that have been done with fiberglass. If you are going to restore this car it will need to be stripped down to see what rust repair needs to be done. The front floor pans are pretty good, but the rear ones will need to be replaced. There is rust in the lower quarters and lower front fenders behind the tires. The Dutchman panel has some rust, but the rear window corners are not bad. The trunk drip rails have rust and I believe the trunk floor has some spots. It is full of interior parts. There has been a repair to the drivers side inner fender at some point in the cars history. You can see where a section was welded in from another car. I believe the Frame rails have some rust, but all of that stuff is reproduced now. The odometer reads 88,xxxx miles, and the family says that is actual. look at the pictures, and if you are interested go ahead and place a bid or make an offer. The old picture is of the car back in the early 70's. It would only let me put 24 pictures in, so if you need more just ask. Also you are welcome to come take a look at car in person. Feel free to ask any questions.
