This is a 1981 DR 500. It starts right up, usually on the first or second kick. It leaks no fluid and burns no oil, really strong motor. The only problem with the bike is 3rd gears jumps in and out. I just shift through 3rd to test run it. It has a K&N air filter and a Supertrapp exhaust. This bike was part of a package deal I picked up and wanted the other the other items so ended up with this as well. Just cleaned the carburetor, changed the oil, greased up the cables and rode it around. Both brakes work well and the tires hold air!!! That is about all I know about this machine. I do have a clear CA title for it. It would be a green sticker bike if registered in CA There is no odometer so I have no idea what the actual mileage is. Someone had put a plate on it in the past, but I do not think this was legally done. The title says off highway on it. The only real damage is on the left side of the gas tank where it appears the forks slapped it. Feel free to ask any questions, I will do my best to answer them.
