Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on my 2008 Chevrolet Silverado “SS” custom with 43K miles. I purchased the truck new from the local Chevy dealer and used it as a daily driver for three years. Over the past two years I have spent~$20K on parts and labor transforming it from a V6 work truck to the 5.3L beast that you see today. I’ve upgraded or replaced the majority of parts on thetruck in an effort to build it as Chevrolet should have produced an SS Silverado.I have practically all of the receipts for purchases and documentation on the truck. This includes the original build sheet from the Fort Wayne, IN Assembly plant. In an effort to simplify things I will list the major parts that I have upgraded or replaced:5.3L LY5 engine with ~45K milesBlack Bear Performance Custom Engine and TCM Tune for use with 89+ octaneFinish Line Transmission custom performance built 4L60E tranny with sleeved input drum (only 2K miles on transmission)Yank Performance Truck Thruster 2600 converter (only 2K miles)C6 Corvette Z06 (OE GM) six piston front brake calipers, 15" Baer cross-drilled and slotted rotors, and Hawk HPS performance brake pads (All of these parts were purchased BRAND NEW and have less than 5K miles on them. This truck will stop as fast as anything out there!)LPP stainless steel long tube headers, Magnaflow exhaust, and Volant PowerCore cool air intake (all parts were professionally installed and BRAND NEW oxygen sensors were installed at that time)20" OE GM LTZ wheels, equipped with 285/50/20 Yokohama Parada Spec-X sport truck tires (less than 5K miles on the tires!)OE GM LT2 full length center console with upgraded brushed silver cup holder insert (also new OE GM) found on Tahoe LTZs. I will include the factory jump seat that came on the truck if you would like it, but this console looks MUCH better. If you've searched for one you know how much that they cost, not including the Tahoe cup holder!McGaughy's 2" front/ 4"rear lowering kit (It definitely adds a much sportier ride and feel to the truck. If you look at a stock Silverado beside this one, it has a much more aggressive stance without all of the extra fender gap that's typically found on them. Not to mention that this truck handles like a sports car!)Black Depo headlight housings with McCulloch 4300K HID lighting kit (This is not some cheap looking blue tinted aftermarket kit. It has the appearance of being completely factory and is a crisp white color. The headlight are adjusted appropriately and I have yet to be "bright lighted" by anyone I meet. The difference in these lights versus halogen is simply daylight and dark. No pun intended.)Taillights are professionally sprayed with a light to medium tint coating (They were done PROFESSIONALLY in a paint booth and have absolutely no flaw or trash in them whatsoever)Street Scene rear roll pan with hide away tow hitch under the rear license plate (unfortunately the pan does have a chipped area in the paint where the tongue of my waverunner trailer made contact with it. I'm including a picture.)Countless other parts...Optima Red top battery, Professionally installed window tinting, OE GM full black body color grill, OE GM chrome tow hooks, OE GM black mirror covers, OE GM chrome door handles, OE GM Denali body side molding, like new black leather seat covers, OE GM Driver Information Center panel, OE GM SS emblems, etc...etc...As you can tell, I spared no expense in the building of this truck. Another item worth noting is that all fluids have been flushed/replaced AND the starter, radiator, and all hoses were replaced with new components 5K miles ago. In other words there is very little to worry about replacing in the next five years. In my opinion, this vehicle drives and handles better than practically any other truck on the road. I would classify it as a true "sport truck" in that it handles like a sports car, can stop better than 99% of all vehicles on the road, and has close to 400hp to get up and go. There are minor imperfections that would be associated with a vehicle that have 43K miles (i.e. rock chips and other minor imperfections) however it has always been extremely well cared for and garaged when not in use. The only remnant that reflects that this truck didn't come with the 5.3L motor is a "service 4 wheel drive" message on the driver information center when you start the vehicle. This is due to the fact that the motor came from a 4 wheel drive truck. These are truly the only areas worth noting.Feel free to ask any other questions that you may have. I've attempted to be as thorough as possible in my description of this one-of-a kind truck. You really have to drive it in order to fully appreciate all of the differences from every other Silverado on the road. I have the clear title in my possession. Thank you and good luck bidding!
