Vehicle Detail

Recently acquired from the widow of a long term owner. I have many service receipts going back to the early 80s, as well as the original owner's manual and tools, but apparently the car languished the last few years though the registration was kept current. Presently this car does run and drive but is not roadworthy, it needs some service work. The power steering hoses are leaking badly and there is a hydraulic leak somewhere as the rear reservoir is empty. I don't have any of the proper fluid on hand to put in, don't know if it's a major leak or not, sorry. Judging from the records the hydraulic system on this car has been serviced several times so it is not an uncommon occurance I guess. I am not a Rolls expert. Very original and complete car! The paint may be original. It needs redone, severely weather checked. The paint is not as good as it looks in the photos. The body is surprisingly nice. The only rust out I see is on the rear lower valance. No apparent collision damage, only really one dent on the rear passenger door (heavy door ding). All of the trim is still pretty nice. Chrome shines up well but there are surface scratches from years of use. But it is all there, generally not dinged up. Glass is all good. All lenses intact. Interior still very usable. Driver seat has some wear but still nice. A great patina in my opinion. All the leather is still supple. All the wood is good, yes some lacquer checking, but it is presentable. Headliner intact, no rips. Carpet still nice! All the bits and pieces are there. Nice picnic tables! Power windows work, radio works, wipers work, ventilation seems to work (still figuring it out, but the blower is running). Not sure about the air, forgot to check, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did, but assume it doesn't for now. Will try to update on that----. Lights all work, turn, brake, running, high and low beam. Tires and exhaust good. Most everything seems to be working aside from the previously mention hose and hydraulic issues. I had a qualified mechanic listen to the engine as there is a ticking. He said it is a hydraulic pump, needs the cam adjusted. He had in fact just done one on another car. Engine seems to run pretty well. If you're a serious tinkerer this might be a fun car to get back on the road as is. It is an honest survivor, and when sitting in the luxurious interior it is easy to like! Personal inspection encouraged. Please call Bill if interested to view 937 241 3412. Thanks for looking!
