Vehicle Detail
2004 Audi TT S-Line Coupe Quattro with 3.2L V6 and 6 speed DSG transmission. ad revision: 05/08/13 Rather than repeating all the features and options here, scroll down below for the original window sticker detailing all of that. Beyond the sticker items are oem TT rubber floormats I purchased. You'll note this car's window price was a frightening $42,640 when new... which is why you'll rarely see this S-Line variation on the street. I purchased this amazing car from the West Coast back in December of 2010. I selected the West Coast as I didn't want a car that'd seen salt. This car has seen rain but never salt or other Winter road chemicals. I had it professionally inspected prior to purchase, then fully gone over and caught up on all maintenances prior to shipment back East, and drove it about 5,000 miles in 2011 and another 5,000 in 2012, Spring / Summer / Fall only... thus the current mileage of 73,500. In 2013, I've not driven it beyond every 2 weeks around my development. As I live out in the country, the car has seen highway use only at least during my ownership; no misuse, no racing, no heavy traffic idling. For those that don't know the secret about this particular, special S-Line model, it's what the TT should've been to begin with. The key differences? Excellent engine, amazing transmission, much bigger brakes, much better seats, and much better suspension. Years ago, I'd purchased new via special order a red 2002 TT 1.8 turbo, and just never found the engine to be all that inspiring. This car cured all my complaints with the 4 cylinder model, and greatly exceeded my expectations in terms of its refinement, handling, AWD capability, braking, S-Line details, and engine performance. I've a special document detailing this particular model that you can download (email me). Despite the car's performance and look, it's remarkably practical and good on gas. For the highway driving I do, which I do at 63 mph, I get at least 30 mpg, sometimes if lucky up to 32. And despite being a 2 door, the huge rear hatch opens up to a very surprising amount of carry space -- especially with the rear seatlets down (they're of no use anyway). Beats the heck out of any small Porsche sports car offering. For those who like to know why someone is selling a vehicle (as if anyone would ever say something like, "I'm selling my car because it's a lemon"), I myself am selling this one because I can no longer afford to keep on maintaining this vehicle and my 2004 Porsche Cayenne to the standards I feel necessary. Being in the country, I need the SUV much more, so had to make the painful choice. Condition Statement Condition is all around excellent in all regards, with only very minor signs of use. No accidents. No computer error codes. Engine oil and filter are fresh synthetic and will not need changing. The Haldex unit does now need a fluid change... I will provide everything needed for the change, including the special filter spanner tool. The flaws I should point out are: (1) The passenger front corner bumper area has a bunch of tiny rock chips from a small invasion of pea-gravel that my neighbor mistakenly shot out at my car with his lawn vacuum exhaust (you had to be there, and no, I never received any compensation for it); (2) I touched these up with a black sharpie, but the rear spoiler on the rearmost, upper facing edge has some narrow lines where the satin black paint got wiped off when I accidentally pulled out of my garage with the rear hatch up. The garage door bottom rubber weatherstrip just barely grazed the spoiler top edge, leaving the fine lines, with two of the lines going below the paint. Not really noticeable but can easily be made to look like new again if desired; (3) Take a look at the bottom cushion of the passenger seat. If you look closely, you'll see a very faint circular stain. This stain gets lighter the more I treat it with a leather care product, but it was caused by bringing home a new one of those grill propane tanks seat-belted in to that seat... I had no idea it would leave that stain, obviously. Work I've had done (mostly at time of purchase, 65109 miles): - 4 new tires - replaced air filter - replaced fuel filter - replaced cabin air filter - replaced serpentine belt - changed DSG fluid + filter - changed rear differential fluid - replaced front struts, bearings, bushings - checked and had refinished all 4 wheels in factory silver - updated all spark plugs with coil packs to latest version - checked and adjusted wheel alignment (from strut replacement) - oil + filter changes with full synthetic as prompted by car's service computer - new front license plate insert, painted to match car, for no-front-plate use - all Audi campaigns performed at Audi dealership - 2nd key (valet) purchased and programmed - brake fluid flushed and changed. - other odds and ends (have all records of work I had done). Who am I and what is my reputation? I'm a private seller selling my own cars that I've owned, meticulously maintained, and used for pleasure driving only. I'm neither a dealer, nor a backyard mechanic who fixes up cars and resells them. While not a mechanic by trade, since the age of 12, I've worked on many cars and in later years restored along with professionals several early Porsche 911's, 912's, and a few other classics. It's safe to say that I'm a knowledgeable auto enthusiast. Over the years, I've sold 6 of my own cars here on eBay. My strongest references are the feedback I received on those sales, at least 3 of which you can still see if scroll through my feedback a ways (let me know if you help finding). Photos note 1: wheel center caps are not installed -- I like the look better -- but all 4 will be included. note 2: after these photos is more information -- please see. Titleship: Clear Questions: Please ask all questions that are important to you before purchase. Much larger versions of the above photos are available if you contact me. Terms of Sale: Ending Early: I reserve the right to end auction early for a good reason (eg. because of a local sale). Payment: A $300 nonrefundable (with one exception) deposit is required within 24 hours of end of auction. The one exception is if you have the car inspected, at your expense, post-ebay-purchase, and there's a finding of a very significant discrepancy from as-described here. Deposit *does* of course count towards purchase price of car. Balance is due within 7 calendar days of auction end. Payment can personal check given sufficient clearing time, bank or certified check, or wired funds. I have the option to relist the car and keep the deposit if payment is not completed within 7 calendar days, barring having made other arrangements to extend time. Shipment: Buyer is responsible for shipment costs of this vehicle. I can, at buyer's option, arrange all shipping within the continental USA. I might also be able to deliver within close range for free. Vehicle Condition: Although very knowledgeable, I am not a professional mechanic or bodyman. I have stated the condition to the best of my ability, and will provide whatever materials I can to support my claims. Vehicle is being sold as-described by my word with no guarantees beyond my word, nor any warrantees. Professional inspections are encouraged if they can be done at my premises (as they are through eBay's inspection services partner). Sale is final, so be sure you've obtained all the information you need to make an informed purchase decision. Thank you, John
