Vehicle Detail

We take trades, Please call Mark for questions or an appointment to see the car: 386-986-9877 We are very proud to present this 1965 Mustang Fastback which is the product of a complete ground up restoration that took about 26 months to complete. This car only has 3,500 miles on it since the restoration. This car was completely taken apart, and everything was either rebuilt or replaced. As you can see in the pictures the car was painstakingly taken apart bolt by bolt, and rebuilt to a very nice standard. All new sheet metal was used, and the car was painted its original Poppy red color with the original color black interior as well. After the body, welding, sheet metal, and paint work were complete, suspension was the next logical step. the plan for this car was to have an original looking mustang with outstanding driving capability, so upgraded four wheel power disc brakes and new suspension were a must. All new new bushings and rubber was used and every part was refurbished or purchased new, as can bee seen in the pictures: Moving on to the fun part, the drive train! As mentioned the goal of this vehicle is an original look with some newer technology and drivability mixed in. A Ford 302 dressed as a 289 was chosen with a 5 speed transmission, Rack and Pinion power steering, and a Ford 9 inch rear end with a 3.50 Posi-track. The engine was completly torn down and rebuilt with some upgraded goodies, including a E303 Cam with roller lifters, a Brand new holly four Barrel W/ auto choke on an aluminum Intake, Mallory Ignition with electronic pointless ignition, and Tri Y Headers with dual exhaust to help exhaust flow. Needless to say this car has plenty of power and runs and drives excellent! OK so I am starting to ramble on but so much has been done to this car and I want to clearly communicate that to the proud new owner and any other potential buyer. This could be the most important point of this ad: with the exception of the parking brake due to the 4 wheel disk brake conversion EVERYTHING WORKS on this car. When I say everything, I mean everything, all the bugs have been worked out of this car in the 3,500 miles it has been driven since the resto. Here is a list of the new parts used on this car at the time of restoration, this may be somewhat extensive: 1) All new Sheet metal (where needed) 2) Paint 3) Every Badge 4)new Magnum 500 wheels with new Tires 5) mirrors 6)wipers, wiper motor, windshield washer motor, lines, wiper switch 7) tail lights, headlights 8) All new chrome 9) gas cap, gas tank 10)Every weather strip and seal 11) door handles Interior: 1) Five Gauge cluster Rally pac, all gauges work including the clock. 2) Everything on the dash is new, including glove box, pad, etc. 3)Carpet 4) Seat Belts 5) seat covers with new stainless trim for seats 6) Header panel 7) Sun visors 8) New GT steering wheel 9) new shifter, knob, trim, boot 10) New AM/FM radio with Ipod input 11) new complete door panels 12) new horns 13) All interior lights work and are wired correctly 14) new blower motor 15) all new switches on the dash I am missing many parts on this car that have been replaced, but the pictures tell the story on how nicely restored this car really is. So I have spoken about the many positives of this car, so what are the negatives you may ask? Well this is all I can come up with: there are signs of use, which includes minor rock chips and blemishes from driving the car 3,500 miles. These cannot be seen unless you are really looking for them within 5 feet of the car. To some this is a negative, but to me it means the resto has been broken in, the bugs have been worked out, and this is a car you can actually take out and drive! please do not hesitate to call and ask any questions. Enjoy the pictures:
