THE PERFECT RESTORATION PROJECT!!!!!!! I will do my best to give a accurate description of this Land Cruiser. This is undoubtedly one of the most original and bone stock 1967 FJ 40's available today for sale with a few very rare factory options. It is equipped just as it was when purchased new except that a electric fuel pump was added years ago and bigger and better outside rear view mirrors. This FJ 40 has set for several yrs. without being driven or engine ran. It does not currently run, but engine will turn over. The body is exceptionally good for its age with only minor rust issues. The body rust is in the following areas. Please refer to pictures. 1. The rear seal plate under the rear cargo doors has rust. The main rear bed area is in very good condition. 2. Each rocker panel has an area of rust about the size of a lemon. Flat metal and easy to repair. 3. The drivers floor board has a few pin holes about 1/8 inch in size. The floor board is otherwise very solid and strong. If a bedliner coating were applied these holes would go away entirely. This FJ 40 has a VERY RARE FACTORY PTO WINCH that was installed by Toyota as a rare option and is 100% complete with all the factory linkage and drive shaft. PTO winches are very reliable and long life winches. Many PTO winches have been in service 30 - 40 years with no failure or breakdowns. These type winches run off the vehicle engine thus you do not have to worry about running your battery down on a long pull as with electric winches and no worries about overheating a electric motor on a long pull. A PTO winch can also go under water with no issues or risk of damage to electrical parts such as solenoids or electric motor damage. A PTO winch power- in speed can also varied according to your rpm on the engine. These factory Land Cruiser PTO winches are currently bringing $3,200.00 + on Ebay. If you go to "LAND CRUISER PTO WINCH" on Ebay and do a search you will find two of these type winches being offered at this time with a "buy now" price of 3,200+. If you have no need for this winch you can easily resale it to recoup some of your original investment. Has all 5 of the rare factory original Toyota steel wheels and 4 factory stainless Toyota hub caps. Very rare factory Toyota tire jack and tools. Very rare factory installed Toyota grill guard. Rare factory original tow bar. Factory original rear hitch and step plate. All braces and cross beams on under side of body are free from rust. Has only the usual surface rust we would expect from a FJ this old. Frame is strong and in good condition with the usual surface rust only. All glass is intact. Tires are good enough for towing with tow bar with approx. 20% tread remaining. This FJ was used mostly for Elk hunting in Colorado. It shows 76,000 miles on the odometer but actual miles is unknown and is exempt for mileage due to age. Many of the miles were tow miles behind a motor home from Oklahoma to Colorado. The last time it was tagged was 17 yrs ago in 1996. Good Oklahoma title. Many years ago a cheap repaint was performed and presently has serious pealing issues. The factory original color was white. Has the original 3.9 litre 135 HP six cylinder engine with 3 speed transmission on the column. The metal top is rust free ( surface rust only ) and fiberglass roof panel is excellent with very good rain gutter. There is no evidence of rust in the drivers or passenger doors. There is no warranty implied or expressed. Delivery is possible for a fee, but not guaranteed.
