The idiot that won the auction on this the first time never paid so here we go again!! This vehicle is being sold AS IS with NO WARRANTY! The vehicle was seized by the Frederick County (MD) Narcotics Task Force in December of 2010 and is being auctioned per policy. There is no "Buy it Now" price or trading because the seized vehicles must be sold auction style. The vehicle is for local pick up only or the buyer must arrange for delivery. The vehicle is a 2001 Chevy Tahoe with an automatic transmission and 4WD on the fly. The vehicle was seized and has been stored by the Task Force until now. We have not used the vehilce and we know very little about it or its mechanical condition. The Tahoe has a "Ducks Unlimited" trim package and seems to have many upgrades. It has a VHS player built into the front center console on the passenger side (unk working condition). It also has 2 Panasonic DVD players accessible from the second row of seats but we are unsure of their working condition either. On the front of the vehicle is a grill gaurd and both bumpers are chrome. There is a trailer package. The second row of seats is a split bench and the third row has removable bucket seats that also fold down. All seats are leather. The front seats are heated. The tires are in varied condition. The front of the SUV has BF Goodrich's, the back has El Dorado's and the spare tire is a full size Firestone. The back driver side tire has a leak in it and will need to be replaced. The engine is a V8, "LS style" motor. The Tahoe includes running boards on both sides, dual exhaust, tinted windows, and On Star capablility. It has a new battery (4/13) and starts right up. A big problem with the car is the rear hatch. When I opened the rear window hatch to take pictures, the hinge came loose and is not connected. I believe it will need to be welded to be fixed properly. It appears that this is not a new but was never noticed until photographing the vehicle. Once discovered and opened, I was unable to get the glass window to latch back into place although it does close. The front passenger side window and lock dont work either. The drivers seat leather has rips in it and isnt in good shape. The back seat has holes in it as well. There is also paint discoloration on the dash area center console and the visors have dirt stains. All of this can be seen in the pictures. There are minor scratches in the paint as well. These are the only issues we noticed but know that we are cops, not mechanics so if you want to inspect the vehicle or test drive it, please contact us.
