If you have, you know that even if you started with a free truck, it would cost you $35,000.00 to make it as nice as this one. WOW, this is a beauty!!! I would think the whole bed is brand new, if I didn’t know it was Original. I just don’t know how you would make an old bed look this good without spending $10,000 on it. The bed wood (Red Oak) is brand new, the stainless steel runners are new, the bed hardware is new, the tailgate chains are new, the taillight lenses and housings are original and the Original tailgate is nice shape!! The paint on this truck is a QUALITY basecoat / clearcoat finish and its EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL. The chrome bumpers and trim are Original as are the Apache "Spears" which been repainted and are in great shape and don’t have any pitting. The front windshield and rubber is new, the door rubber is new and the wing windows have nice rubber and glass is new. The windows roll up and down perfectly with no effort at all. The dual chrome exterior mirrors are nice. This is better than a new truck, nobody built a truck this nice in 1959 !! THIS IS A QAULITY TRUCK!!This truck has the Original 235 CID GM motor that has been rebuilt and has the stock style exhaust system. It runs cool with the Original "Harrison" radiator and is backed-up by the smooth Original 4-speed manual transmission that shifts perfectly and a Original rear-end!! The electrical shop went through it completely and everything works. The truck has its full size spare tire and Original jack and lug wrench. This truck is such a fun driver!!! I drove this truck a couple of days as my daily driver in town and on the freeway and I have to tell you it was a joy to drive. The gears were plenty tall for the freeway and it cruised along at 65 MPH with no problem, drove tight and didn't wander or pull to one side even when applying the brakes. This vehicle is in FANTASTIC condition from top to bottom and from front to back. THIS IS A QUALITY VEHICLE FOR SURE !! I took some pictures of the original floorboards after we painted them with POR, and when we removed the bed everything was in such good shape I included the pictures before and after we painted the frame with POR and undercoated the underside of the body. The body shop that painted this truck said that it was one of the nicest original trucks they have ever done!! Have you been looking to restore a 1959 CHEVY SHORT BOX FLEETSIDE APACHE Truck? If you have, you know that even if you started with a free truck, it would cost you $35,000.00 to make it as nice as this one. WOW, this is a beauty!!! I would think the whole bed is brand new, if I didn’t know it was Original. I just don’t know how you would make an old bed look this good without spending $10,000 on it. The bed wood (Red Oak) is brand new, the stainless steel runners are new, the bed hardware is new, the tailgate chains are new, the taillight lenses and housings are original and the Original tailgate is nice shape!! The paint on this truck is a QUALITY basecoat / clearcoat finish and its EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL. The chrome bumpers and trim are Original as are the Apache "Spears" which been repainted and are in great shape and don’t have any pitting. The front windshield and rubber is new, the door rubber is new and the wing windows have nice rubber and glass is new. The windows roll up and down perfectly with no effort at all. The dual chrome exterior mirrors are nice. This is better than a new truck, nobody built a truck this nice in 1959 !! This truck has the Original 235 CID GM motor that has been rebuilt and has the stock style exhaust system. It runs cool with the Original "Harrison" radiator and is backed-up by the smooth Original 4-speed manual transmission that shifts perfectly and a Original rear-end!! The electrical shop went through it completely and everything works. The truck has its full size spare tire and Original jack and lug wrench. This truck is such a fun driver!!! I drove this truck a couple of days as my daily driver in town and on the freeway and I have to tell you it was a joy to drive. The gears were plenty tall for the freeway and it cruised along at 65 MPH with no problem, drove tight and didn't wander or pull to one side even when applying the brakes. This vehicle is in FANTASTIC condition from top to bottom and from front to back. THIS IS A QUALITY VEHICLE FOR SURE !! It will not disappoint someone looking for a good example of a sought after and hard to find Classic Chevy Apache Truck. The NEW Red and White basecoat / clearcoat finish on this vehicle is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL, UNBELIEVABLE !! The New Black and White interior is also BEAUTIFUL, what a GORGEOUS color combination !! How could you get any better !!? Check out the Nice color matched Stock steel wheels and hub caps with radial tires that give it that stock truck look. I looked underneath and it is as nice underneath as it is on top, (see included photos below). I took some pictures of the original floorboards after we painted them with POR, and when we removed the bed everything was in such good shape I included the pictures before and after we painted the frame with POR and undercoated the underside of the body. The body shop that painted this truck said that it was one of the nicest original trucks they have ever done!!
