Vehicle Detail
This is a great bike for riding around town. It runs very well since we put a lot of time and new parts into it. This sale is an as-is, “bill of sale” only. I'm also advertising locally so this listing may be removed if a local buyer makes a deal with me before this auction is completed. I can't be sure that the odometer reading is accurate as it may have been replaced prior to my buying it. We have no title, as none is required for motorcycles of this age in Georgia. It is legally registered with the state of Georgia so there are no liens on the bike, and the state/federal search of stolen vehicles came back clean. We will work with the buyer if shipping is required. Shipping costs are buyer's responsibility. Improvements and new parts: New aftermarket mufflers that match the original design – from David Silver Spares Inside of tank lined by professional radiator shop (much better and longer lasting than the other options). Rust will never form inside this tank again.Painted tank, polished tank silverNew gas tank capNew petcockNew side covers and emblemsRebuilt the carburetors – new jets, floats, gaskets. New throttle cableNew tachometer cableNew clutch cableNew battery box and batteryNew right side handlebar switch: controls low/high beam and the kill switch. New rear view mirrorsNew left-handlebar switch: controls turn signal and hornNew turn signal switchReplaced the original horn which wasn’t very strong with one that was much louder.Replaced front wheel/brake with a front wheel with a drum brake. The manual disk brake on this bike is a bit sketchy. They didn’t have a hydraulic brake system for this bike in 1974. That said, the original wheel and disk brake system also comes with the bike. Your choice on which to use.New rear brake assembly: rear brake linkage (spring, bar, etc.), rear brake panel for rear tire/hubNew fuel linesEngine maintenance includes:Valve clearances reset to standardTiming reset with strobe timing systemCarb’s tuned Clutch basket and oil filter removed, cleanedNew gaskets installedSeveral oil changes – no metal found in the oil or oil filterRe-aligned rear wheel and drive chain. Lubed drive chain.Replaced many rusty fasteners with new fasteners throughout On Apr-23-13 at 15:32:20 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a great bike for riding around town.
