Thanks for taking a look. I'm selling this for a friend of mine. This was his grandfathers pickup and he had hoped he would be able to return it to good condition. You don't see many Chevrolet factory four wheel drives from the fifties.He got it stripped down to where you see it and it's been sitting in the garage for over five years. He has accepted he doesn't have the time or skills to do what it needs. He has however saved whoever buys this a lot of work. The pickup was complete before being stripped down and everything that was removed is there. He's an engineer by trade so everything was neatly put in boxes. Most of the body parts have rust damage. It will be up to you what to keep and repair or to recycle. The cab steps and corners seem to be the worst. The hood is very good, all the glass except the windshield is good and it has a crack that will last till another is found. The trim pieces are in good condition you can see in the pictures. Tanks, gauges, visors...lots of great stuff. The 283 is a replacement for the original but that was what it had. The tranny and the suspension and frame is all original. So you have a great basement with a lot to work with upstairs, along with a large group of hard to find pieces in good original condition. The title is clean, I looked at it this afternoon. This could be the easiest to load up you'll ever get. The two pictures of the pickup complete are from when it first got to the house. It is stripped. Of course there isn't a warranty. Please ask questions before you bid. You are responsible to remove this pickup in 9-14 days at your expense. 500.00 is expected within 24 hours after the auction closes. Paypal is available.
