Vehicle Detail
THIS IS A 3 DAY AUCTION ONLY!!! Relisted because winner of the last auction says his young son bought it without there permission and therefore they refuse to pay. So thats why its up for sale again. PLEASE bid only if you are serious about the purchase and will go through with the transaction!!!!!! This costs money everytime to relist. Up for bids is what I think to be a 1948-53 GMC cabover truck sitting on a 1979 Cobra motorhome chassis. The title is for the chassis, not the cab. This cab is pretty rough but has some good parts on it or fix it up as a rat rod. The fenders, steps, and hood are fairly good with minimal rust or dents. The doors have quite a bit of rust as does the cab. Most glass is cracked. There isnt much interior as you can see by the pics. The cab is not mounted to the chassis. All I have is what is showing in the pics, no more, no less. If you dont see it its not with the truck. Now the chassis is from a 79 Cobra motorhome that was on the road till just a few years ago. It had a big block with an automatic trans in it but they have both been removed. The running gear was Chevy. The frame is still the full length but the rear dually axle has been taken from its original position and rolled forward to shorten the wheelbase for a dually pickup bed. The frame is straight so all you have to do is bolt the spring hangers to it in its new location or put it back where it originally was if you want to make a car hauler out of it. The rearend has a heavy duty torsion bar on it. The wheels are all good but tires have dry rot. The trans crossmember, motor mounts, steering box and brakes are all still on there also although the master cylinder was removed. As I said this truck is rough but ive seen worse. Going to take a lot of work or just make a cool rat rod. The chassis is right and ready to mount whatever you want on it. Let me know if you have any questions or want more pics. As I said, what you see in the pics is all I have. Thanks for looking and good luck should you decide to bid on this old cabover. Checkout my feedback guys as its well over 500 and all positive. You dont get that kind of feedback if you lie and cheat people, I tell it like it is. Delivery may be possible depending on your location. On Apr-20-13 at 13:39:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Want it now? Make a SERIOUS offer. Thanks
