Vehicle Detail

I am relisting this car because of dead bidder. I bought this 1957 Bentley at an auction two years ago with the intention to restore it but present plans have changed. I have restored many antique vehicles as a hobby in the past and this beauty offered a lot of potential. I purchased this car in Pensylvania with a salvage title as "PA salvage abandoned vehicle, not damaged nor stolen". It had been last registered in 1985 and was found abandoned two years ago inside a roofed repair shop that officiallyclosed its doors back in 1986. The vehicle is presently registered in Florida with a clear title and kept indoors in a mini warehouse. The car is a RIGHT hand drive. I have driven this vehicle on weekends about 300 miles in total since I bought it. The car is old but is complete. The engine starts and runs, Odometer reads 36,000 miles and seems possible according to good compression it has in cylinders, 4 gears automatic transmission shifts fine. Electrical system is good and working ok except for the dash temperature gauge and some few missing light bulbs or in need of replacement. Battery is new and generator charges it without any issue. Suspension feels ok, all glass is fine, all manual windows and locks work fine, tires are old, grill is rusted and needs rechroming, body is straight but there are a few dents and some superficial rust, overall paint is old, ugly, discolored and peeling on the roof (see picture), leather seats upholstery needs replacement (front seats leather is badly torn and back seats leather is old and brittle) seats are now covered with plain black cloth seat covers, front floor rug is discolored and needs replacement, all wood is there and in fair condition and needs refinishing, the lower rocker panels and undercarriage has some rust and there is one specifically area badly rusted under the battery in the trunk by old battery leaking acid and destroying about one foot of the frame (see pictures). rest of frame and trunk and floor panels are ok. Car is not drivable now because both Brake cylinders need to be refitted, a power steering hose is leaking, and both carburators have small leaks on them due to old joints. This car was most probably last tuned 30 years ago but engine and transmission oil was been changed since I bought it. The last picture found in a small plastic bag under the rear seat illustrates what the car could have looked like and can look again with good TLC. .On Apr-16-13 at 05:16:04 PDT, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT NOTICE: THIS CAR IS NOT A BENTLEY SI CONTINENTAL, IT IS A BENTLEY S1. DESCRIPTION BY MISTAKE SAYS "CONTINENTAL"
