Up for Auction is this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Hardtop ! - No motor or transmission. - Originally V8 with 3spd Manual transmission. - The Clutch Pedals are still in the car, Original Rear End and Wheels. - Original color combo was Turquoise with Aqua interior - Most of the chrome and stainless is on the car. - The Glass is all good. - Interior is mostly complete with original seats, used door panels, instrument cluster and heater box. - Solid frame with typical rust on an unrestored car. Clear title Very fixable Classic Chevy ! A deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours of the ending of the auction. And the balance within 7 days. On Apr-09-13 at 08:42:42 PDT, seller added the following information:I had someone tell me this car is a 210 and Not a Bel Air. I have found a website that gave me a lot more information and help to decode the Vin # and cowl tag. The vin tag in the door jamb matches the cowl tag and confirms the car is a factory V8, but I have not figured out what size / type V8 it came with. Style 53-1037 = 2 door sport coupe Body M 306 = Fisher body made in Baltimore,MD Trim 655 = Light Green Vinyl w/ Med. Green Pattern Cloth Paint 798 = Highland Green I'm told because there is no D on the end of 1037 then the car is a 210 and Not a Bel Air. Strange because the dash and other trim say Bel Air on the car which is why I thought it was. Front frame rails are good, Radiator pan is good, Floor to firewall pan and firewall is good Heater box and motor still in the car. Radiator support is good Original hood hinges are there but not on the hood. Hood is solid, the top of the fenders but the bottoms needs some repair Inner fenders are solid. ALL the frame rails are solid. Needs front floor pans, seat pans and rear pans are not bad. Original front and rear seats and pedals. Original steering wheel Roof skin is good and all headliner bows are there Front windshield is broken but all the other glass is good. The bottom edge of the trunk lid edge is rusted. Spare tire area for spare has some rust, but not bad bottom of doors are workable, just the bottoms are rusted. Inner qtrs and wheel house are good. Qtrs are not too bad, workable… has some rust.
