This Terrific old BMW has been sitting in Sacramento California for the last 23 years! A good friend of mine spotted it when the car cover rotted off of it exposing the "For Sale" sign that had been placed in the window some time before the car was covered. This isn't quite the car for me but there was no way I was going to allow it to sit without care for another day. It is now safely stored in my garage. The previous owner is a great gentleman who said the car was running when it was parked in 1990. He and his wife had owned the car since July of 1987. The car has some fantastic period correct magnesium "Mag Lite" wheels that look like panasports to me. It also has original "W. German Talbot" fender mirrors. The interior has seat covers on both front seats and dash and rear panel covers. I have not tried to turn the engine over and I don't intend to. This is in the best condition of any E9 I've seen that has been sitting for this long. It does have some rust but it is very repairable and the shock towers appear to be in very good condition. The dash, front seats, carpet, and trunk lining all seem to be in pretty good original condition. The rears seat didn't have a cover on it and its a little rough. the rocker covers show some rust (like I said, rust in the usual places) But all in all I'm still lovin this car. Forgot to mention that it is a Euro model the speedo is in kilos not miles. And thank you Randy who pointed out that the mirrors actually say "W. Berlin Talbot" not W. Germany. And just to mention: I really want someone to bring this car back to life. If your intention is to part it out, Please don't bid. This car is way too Cool, and Way too uncommon to scrap it.
