However, the Terms here are that you must take possession with in 2 weeks of auction close. If you can't do this please don't bid.**** This is a project car and sold as is. I will help you move it out of the barn and onto a trailer etc. but winner is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. 1957 Triumph TR 3 Sports convertible. As you can see this is a project car. Interesting history - one owner car purchased by the son of a banker that aquired many cars. The story as related to me is that this fellow did some local racing but it is unclear if this car was raced. Judging from the condition it is possible - very low mileage on the clock - passenger seat removed....however, the body if very straight and without evidence of shunts. The apron is in remarkable condition - so either this was one of many in a stable and not used much or it was raced once or twice and retired for something else? Who knows. Original Invoice & Title from new. You will get A Bill of Sale from me - the Title was not submitted because I wanted to keep the original! I will help in any way I can. They hydraulics are all bad, the floor behind the seats has rust through, the doglegs are rusted - however everything else is in pretty good shape, the spare tire well and trunk are solid (boot is locked but you can see from underneath and with a light behind the gas tank it is solid - surface rust). See pictures and vid for condition. The motor is free and and I was told it runs without smoke...but I am not making that representation. Commission Number on car/title: 19261L (http://www.vtr.org/TR2/TR2-production.shtml this is late '57) Purchase Price $2787.00 ($500 allowance for trade of '52 Plymouth hardtop) Here is a short video - apologies about the horrible sounds...one is my wheezing, the other is an electronic noise maker in the barn to keep birds and other critters out... The Tires hold air for about a week.On Apr-05-13 at 19:40:41 PDT, seller added the following information: The "Purchase Price" listed is the original invoice price in 1957. The original title and invoice go with the car. The title needs a notarized signature from the seller. Since the seller is no longer alive the title has that problem. easily remedied. On Apr-06-13 at 06:52:48 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a auction so there is no purchaser price or buy it now price. I'm sorry for confusion and poor wording. I was trying to relate that I have the original invoice stating the purchase price in 1957. I also have the original 1957 pa. Title. All paperwork gos with the car. Sorry for any confusion.
