A GREAT original 1973 VOLVO P1800ES. One Registered owner since purchased new in New Mexico on 1/20/1973. Extremely well maintained. Garaged. Repainted and front seats reupolstered a few years ago. First introduced around 1965 as a sports coupe with the durable Volvo 122S suspension and drive train. Made famous as the car in the TV series "The Saint" starring Roger Moore (later of James Bond fame). The 1973 version used the current (for 1973) Volvo 140 suspension and drive train with a sports wagon body. A 4 cylinder all cast iron block and cylinder head with electronic fuel injection. 4 speed manual trans with electric overdrive. Upper and lower control arm front suspension. Rear wheel drive with solid rear end. 4 wheel disc brakes. Because all mechanicals are the same as the Volvo 140, they are readily available old stock, aftermarket and/or used. My particular P1800es has 170lbs of compression in each cylinder, recent fuel pump and brakes. The clock and oil temp gauge are not working. Everything else works and works GREAT!!
