Vehicle Detail

This is a sweetheart of a Mustang Fastback. Extremely good looking car, runs strong, very nice interior, super solid, great chrome etc. And it sounds oh so fine! What I was told from the previous owner: This car came from Arizona about 6 years ago. It was then pretty much restored and hot rodded a bit. Original floors, bare metal repaint. Super straight body, very nice paint. There are some light scratches and nicks here and there as this car is being driven .But overall the paint and body look tremendous. When looking underneath it appears the driver side front footwell and surrounding area took some kind of whack and was straightened out. Hard to figure out. Also the driver door was replaced, maybe at the same time? But honestly, to view this car now I don't think it could be any straighter, see the photos. The only rust is a small blister on the driver door bottom, the car's Arizona heritage seems evident. Virtually no rust otherwise. It's got some dirt underneath from use but that will wash off. The engine seemingly has been breathed upon. 4 barrel with a bit of cam. At idle it has an exhaust note you want to pull up a lawn chair and listen to.It sounds oh so very sweet. Just enough cam to give it an edge. Oil pressure reads 65-80 psi. Does not overheat. Engine runs out nicely, perfectly docile and smooth but if you put your foot into it it gets busy. I haven't tried just stomping on it from a standstill, but at speed if you punch it and the tranny drops down a gear, oh yea, it runs VERY strong. And again. sounds glorious! Just a really nice running mill. Transmission shifts firmly, has a TCI pan on it. Some kind of performance tranny I'd speculate. Unfortunately I have no documentation on this drivetrain. But the way it runs and shifts, it is not stock. Brakes and steering are working properly. Stops straight, drives straight, steers well. Feels solid. Has a beefed up front roll bar, looks like newer springs, bushings, etc. Handles nicely. Dual exhaust with headers routed nicely through the rear valance. It resonates a bit at idle (in the car) but once underway has a nice hipo sound, not too loud. Bumpers, badges and mirror look new, other trim in nice shape, some light age on the gas cap, but nothing that distracts from the largely excellent appearance of the car. Glass I think is all original, good shape, no cracks or bullseyes. Light wiper mark on passenger side (probably buff out). Interior must have largely been redone. Upholstery shows little wear, no tears. Good door panels. Nice carpet, mats. Nice dash, no splits. Gauges and horn ring in good condition. Add on tri-gauge, temp and oil pressure work, amp meter not hooked up. Tach is not working, I suspect it is just a simple fix, wire problem, there are a few loose wires, but that is a guess. Good seat belts. Headliner in nice shape but it does have a couple of small gouges, but I'd leave it alone, they are almost imperceptible. In short, this is a far, far nicer than average car. It could be shown with pride at any show. It is not a bondoed up rust bucket. It runs out great and looks the part. Car is in Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387. Personal inspection encouraged.
