Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1969 Karmann Ghia Coupe, Restored California Car This great Ghia Coupe has been completely restored from a rust free car that came out of dry Fresno in central California. I can find no evidence of any rust repairs anywhere. It is the original floor pan which is rust free. It was media blasted to bare steel inside and out and refinished to a high standard with the clear coat paint beautifully polished. It is close to an early Ghia color but is now “Toreador Red” with a very fine metallic. The body is straight and panel fit is excellent. There are a couple of tiny chips in the paint that are too small to show up in the photos. I do not know how many miles have been on the car since the restoration but judging from the cleanliness and lack of wear I would guess only a couple of thousand miles if that. It appears as new throughout and is stored inside with a nice soft car cover. The entire interior is new as are all the rubber seals, carpets and headliner. We have receipts available that total over $20,000. that will come with the car. All exterior chrome is excellent. Brakes, tires, suspension parts were all replaced during the restoration. Nice Empi 8-spoke wheels. The completely rebuilt engine is a 1600 dual port. The transmission was redone at the same time and the car runs and drives like it did new in 1969. All in all this is a very nicely restored Ghia Coupe that would be a pleasure to drive anywhere and would show very well at a VW event.
