Vehicle Detail

1973 Honda CL 350 Scrambler in exceptional “original” condition. Spring is here and it’s time to spend that hard earned money or your income tax return and treat yourself to a very nice vintage motorcycle. This is a 1973 Honda CL350 Scrambler which are getting very popular with collectors and getting very hard to find, especially in this condition. This Scrambler is in great condition and it shows from the pictures. It has only 12,096 original California miles and the tires on it are practically new with less than 1000 miles of them. The bike also has a brand new battery. The Honda 350 Scramblers were used for the street and also off road back in the 1970’s because if it’s light weight and upswept exhaust pipes. The CB 350’s had downswept pipes and are not as collectible. It provided a neat off road styling in a motorcycle you could enjoy in town or the highways or in some cases in the dirt where several people would take these Scramblers . The twin engines turn out 33 horsepower with a 100 mph top speed and also delivered a strong spread of torque. This bike does a 14.3 second quarter mile, which is pretty fast for a 40 year old bike. The bike weighs only 346 pounds, so it’s very easy to handle. It has a countermesh gearbox with five speeds. It has electronic push button start. The front tire is a 19 inch and the rear tire is 18 inches. Gas tank capacity is 2.4 gallons. As a matter of fact a 1973 CL 350 just sold on Ebay on March 20, 2013 for $3500 and had 44 bids. It was in very similar condition to this CL 350, but had blemishes on the side casings. Check completed listings – item number 281077995673. All of the lights – high and low beams, blinkers etc. work perfectly. The bike will start right up and runs great. It has the original handgrips and they are also in perfect condition. It has the original high handlebar with cross bar and the speedometer and tachometer are original to the bike and so is the mileage indicated and all miles were done in Sunny California – so no hidden rust. All of the other parts to the bike are original except the tires and battery. The bike also has a protective rubber coated wrap around the speedometer cable. You hardly ever see the CL 350’s come up for sale on Ebay – maybe the CB’s but not too many CL’s and especially in this exceptional condition. My reserve is very low and please do not ask me what the reserve price is because I will not tell you and it is obviously not fair to other bidders. I will tell you however, that my reserve is less than what the aforementioned Scrambler sold for on March 20th. Please check my Ebay history – it is at 100% positive feedback for a reason and almost a hundred percent of my Ebay sales are related to motorcycles or motorcycle parts. I have been riding, racing, restoring and collecting motorcycles for over 45 years. This is more than a hobby for me – motorcycles are my passion and I have decided to sell a couple of my bikes because it is getting more difficult for me to ride in my older years. The motorcycle will be sold as-is, with no warranties implied and it comes with a valid California title that is in my name and has not been signed and/or dated. Some people will say they have the title, but it is already signed and dated and California DMV will charge you late fees from the date that it is on the title because you only have 30 days to transfer vehicles into your name in California after purchase. The bike is currently on non operational status through DMV. If bought from out of state or out of country – I would like to keep the California plates, if the buyer agrees. I also have several transport contacts and can get this Elsinore transported almost anywhere in the United States for much less that most motorcycle transporters and USHIP. I also have transported several hundred motorcycles to Australia and Europe and I have no issues selling to anyone out of the United States. I know of several international transporters and I will charge only $100 to get the bike prepped with documentation etc and fifty cents a mile both ways – you pay the transporter to get it over the ocean. Please contact me with any questions or if you would like other pictures. You are welcome and encouraged to start, ride and see this bike in person before the auction ends – just email me. Please check out the other motorcycles, mini bikes, parts and a very rare 1980’s Wheels of Man motorcycle rain suit that is practically in brand new condition. I used it maybe twice in sunny California.
