Heres a 1971 Honda CL 175. The bike is in very nice condition for its age. I have personally did a 90% full restore on this bike. From what I did was polished the rims out, polished the wheel hubs( came out looking great.) I wanted to keep as much of the original paint as possible so I took out the motor and polished the full frame and swing arm. As far as motor mounts and the tail light bracket ( including other parts) I powder coated them gloss black. The tank and fenders are all orginal paint and have been buffed out. The tank does have a dent on top ( not big but paint did chip off) the front fender has a chip in the backside. The seat is original and looks awsome just a VERY SMALL tear at one of the seams. Lights all work. I have cleaned the carbs inside and out and they look new agian. The carb side intakes have been polished. The pipe did have a small hole in back, but i have professionally tig welded it up. ( back side of muffler) Other than that the pipe is complete and is one of the nicest i've seen. The motor has been cleaned of all grease and dirt and has a newer paint job done to the side covers. ( although one night i left the gas one and a small amount driped on the chain drive side and stained a yellowish line going down it. Not to bad)Also the actual plastic side covers have been repainted due to my expoxy fix to the bottoms being cracked ( now fixed and repainted) Now what makes it 90% complete, The front tire has good tread, back is not in good shape and will need to be replaced. The kickstarter does not engage ( the gear it self will not catch. Ive heard this is common) But E-Start does work. The RPM gauge does not work it needs the spline gear inside. I never really used it so i never fixed it. And the lat issue, It needs a tune up. Ive got it running and you can hear it and ride it but it is running to rich. I put new plugs in and seemed to help but other than that, its a beautiful bike for the money, and the hardest part is done, just simple stuff now.
