1981 DELOREAN RUNS PERFECT - REFURBED ENG & TRANS GORGEOUS NEW INTERIOR NO RESERVE - WINNING BIDDER DRIVES IT HOME! First let me say that I have 100% feedback and intend to keep it. I am accurately representing the condition of this car to the best of my knowledge. I welcome and encourage you to come see the car in person, take it for a test drive, and have a mechanic look at it. This is a 1981 Delorean DMC 12 with the rare hood that has the fuel flap. I have put at least $15,000 in new parts/labor in this car since purchasing it in 2005. If you have any questions email via Ebay. Bidder Requirements: Bidder must have a min of 10 feedback. Any bids with 0 feedback bidders will be canceled. Mechanics: Car is in great mechanical working order. Starts right up. Tune up and oil change completed 3/20/13. No problems whatsoever. I drive the car at least twice a week and just drove round trip Vegas to Los Angeles thru Death Valley 100 degree heat and the temp gauge didn't move a milimeter past normal. Since the tune up the car runs wonderful and has a lot of pep. Car was driven with care, never raced, garage kept, never over 65mph. I treat my cars like babies. Absolutely NO transmission or engine trouble to speak of. You can get in this car and drive around the world if you like and you will have no problems! New Parts here are the main components I've had replaced (all at DMC shops) Engine was taken apart and all parts replaced/refurbed as needed. Transmission was taken apart and any required repairs made. Fuel pump, fuel gauge, fuel sending unit, fuel lines from tank New air conditioner (entire system) now blows ice cold! Alternator Shock Absorbers Radiator and one of the cooling fans Brake rotors, lines, pads Water pump Pulleys Gauge cluster circuit board Belts Fuses & Relays Water bottle (replaced with metal one) Brake rotors, lines, pads Headlight housings Tail light housings Side marker lenses (lights replaced with LEDs) Interior dash lights replaced with LEDs Horns Rear view mirror Tires replaced in 2011 Battery Speedometer (I have the new 140mph speedo but haven't installed it yet. I will install after car sells). Interior: The entire interior was redone in 2011. This includes new leather seats, new headliner, new carpet, and new door panels. I've never seen an interior this beautiful on a Delorean before have you? Take a look at the photos. It's just gorgeous! There are two 1" long stress cracks on the dash on each side of the glove box. The center console is showing its age its a little sun cracked. Exterior: No major issues. Car never wrecked. Exterior is 7/10. I would have the stainless steel buffed as there are areas with scratches. There are two 1/4" dings above each of the back wheels where car doors must have hit. There are two tiny holes on each side of the antenna where a larger antenna mount was at one time. Car is 32 years old and does not have show room shine, but is in good shape for its age. The engine bay could be repainted black but not neccesary. Required Repairs: The wiring in the driver door is kinked and needs to be fixed. I will try to fix it after car sells if not any DMC shop can do it easy or you can do it yourself if you have small fingers. The kinked wires are causing the drivers side doorlocks, mirrors, clearance lights, and window to not operate or operatate sporatically. Not really a big deal but I disclose everything. I have a brand new 140mph speedo and will install it after car sells. Payment: Deposit of $500 via Paypal within 48hrs of auction close. Full balance payment via cashier check within 7 days of auction close. If deposit not made item will be re-listed.
