Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a beautiful 1974 Volkswagon SuperBeetle. -Very clean -Runs beautifully -Original Style Rims -Original flip out side windows -Brand new Kumho tires, less than 500 miles ago. I would say that they have at least 95% of tread left. It also comes with a spare tire without about 60-70% tread left. The only problem is that the rim will not allow it to hold air, so a new rim would be needed for the spare. -Original radio is included, but does not work. I have a new radio in it, but it is a bit loose because I did not want to cut up the dash in order to fit it. It does not fall out while driving or anything. The radio has an AUX plug and comes with a AUX cable. Currently I have it wired for four speakers, one under the driver and passenger seat and two in the back. The car will come without the back speakers because they were a gift from a family friend, but the wiring will still be there and you will only have to hook up your own two speakers. -Recently rebuilt carb and service from local VW Bug specialist. -New electronic ignition distributor with vacuum. -Original air filter-Brand New Starter -Has working fresh air blowers for cabin This is a nice california car, and has very limited rust. The only rust spots are in the passenger door where there are a couple small spots where it rusted through (See Pictures). Underneath the body is solid, there was rust under the battery box which is very typical, but it was fixed. The running boards also have some light surface rust. The heater system is not connected but the heater boxes are there and would only need to be hooked up. The car has had a recent complete carburetor rebuild. This is due to the fact that there was a small fire in the engine compartment. I had put some fuel in the carb to prime it one time, but there was too much. I had a fire extinguisher there and quickly put out the fire. After that I brought it over to the shop and had him completely rebuild the carburetor and check up everything. Everything is now completely mechanically sound and the only thing that remains is a little burnt paint on the deck lid (See Pictures). This car drives great and still has the original interior. All the seats are original and because of this there is a little wear and tear on the back seat from sun damage (See Pictures). The previous owner also put on a dashboard cover. She also drips a few oil drops once in a while, like almost all of these older bugs do. The car comes with the original blue california license plates and with registration paid until September of this year. Another benefit of this car is that it's a Super Beetle and therefore the trunk in the front has quite a bit more room. This is an absolutely fantastic car and gets lots of looks and questions whenever I drive it. The buyer is responsible for pickup or transport.
