I have owned the PD for the last 8 years and am the third owner. When I first purchased the bike I still had fantasies about an around the world trip but now I am 67 years old with the realization that its not in the cards. The bike was repainted last year-it was originally the red/white paint scheme but I have always preferred BMWs in black. The original rear shock was rebuilt at that time and I had the crash bars,rear tail rack and battery box powder coated. The bike has had an oil change,rear spline lube,valve adj. and general tune-up approx. 200 miles ago .The bike runs and handles very well and is in exceptional condition for a 23 old bike. I also have both the original solo and dual BMW seats.a tall windscreen which was never installed,bike cover and manual.
