The tires on this bike are still original (with wear appropriate to the miles), not to mention the handgrips, and every other little thing on this bike. From the pictures notice how you can tell the bolts to change the tire have never been removed. But please do not stop at those pictures; enjoy the plethora of pictures and the video to get the best idea of shape of the bike plus its accessories. Also, you can tell that the original rubber guard that sits inside the bottom of the front fender is still in place and in great condition. These are rarely ever seen still on a Dream as they take a lot of abuse, dry up, and rot away. But this Dream is so original and barely used that the part sits there now as it did in 1965 when the bike was bought new. As the story of this Dream goes, the Dream was bought back in 1965; it was ridden around and enjoyed (for 2,XXX miles) when one day the bike just stopped running on the gentleman. He hauled it to his garage with plans to “work on it later”; there it sat till it was sold in his estate sale. Since the sale, the coil, which was what caused the original issue and the tank “Honda 300” decal, are the only things that were replaced on the bike. The decals are not the cheap Taiwan reproduction they are good quality replacements made with real gold leaf. The bike has been ridden around for enjoyment a couple hundred miles since the purchase. The only thing missing on the bike which was not on the bike when purchased from the estate sale are the muffler baffles.Right now there is another dream listed on eBay with 4,2XX original miles on it, they had to rebuild their fuel petcock, which is common on Dreams as they tend to leak and break, the petcock on this bike is still completely original with no leaking and operates as it should. The electric or kick start on the bike both function as they should. In top of being complete the bike also has original, period correct, accessories that were on the bike when it was stored away originally. The luggage bags, rear chrome rack, crash bars, and windscreen are all rare pieces that are valuable themselves. The bike does come with the keys to the luggage bags. Again, everything you see on the bike is how the bike was stored back in the 60s when the bike quit on the original owner. The coil and gas tank decal is all that was replaced. As you can verify on the pictures the engine and frame number are one of the closes matched you will find varying by only 18 numbers. This bike is listed with NO RESERVE so the highest bid will get the bike.
