A BLAST FROM THE 80'S PAST! This is a 1982 Honda Gold Wing, GL1100. It is in VERY used condition, but was driven into the dealership on 2 occasions before the owner traded it in on a new HD. Yes, there are 80K miles on it. Yes, it needs work. You would too after 80K miles!! Take a very good look at the pictures to see the condition of this bike. It is NOT in new condition by any means. The original owner got his use out of the bike. If you love the 80's the custom "reverse flame" paint with big gold glitter in the tan is quite unique. But here's my take on this bike. PARTS...lots of PARTS can be gotten off this bike and reused for your current ride. Or, since it's in running condition, you can work on this over the winter and get it repainted if you wish. Oh, wait...the custom lower fairing wind deflectors should make you want to buy this bike immediately! Well, maybe not - but they sure are ingenious and work. Not the best looking thing, but they can come off with the turn of a few bolts or screws. The bike is leaking oil but just a wee-tiny bit (about the size of 1/2 a credit card in 2-3 weeks!), and i've observed leaking fork seals. The forks are a pretty cheap fix parts wise. I am POSITIVE it needs more work, I am not a mechanic by any means. The bike is OLDER folks!! I encourage anyone to come look at the bike in person. Don't expect a show stopper.....expect a well worn bike that has a few more miles or years under it's seat. It starts right up, doesn't smoke, sounds just like a Honda should. And if you know Gold Wings, this one could go another 80K miles without blinking an eye. I can take pictures of this bike at any time and send it to anyone interested.
