I HAVE 'SOLD' THIS CHEROKEE TWICE WITHOUT PAYMENT. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW EBAY RULES! I have too many projects, so it's time to let some of them go. Make a good offer..... This was my first Jeep Cherokee XJ. If you are familiar with Jeeps, you understand how great they are in snow, sand and mud. I've bought 4 more since and keep them at home in VA. I've owned this one nearly 6 years and purchased it from my mechanic. It looked sharp then as it does now, but needed TLC, and I added new front springs, a 3" lift kit with new rear leaf springs adding an extra 4th leaf for added height. New shocks, brakes, suspension bushings, throttle body spacer, etc, etc, and all the systems were checked, flushed and upgraded. Did the full BG treatment on radiator, tranny, engine, brakes and more. I spent whatever was necessary to make it safe and trustworthy. I drove it to from VA to my daughter's home near Manchester, NH about 3 = years ago and left it there for their use and mine on the occasional visit. NH winters have not been kind. It was parked about a year ago and has sat basically unused since then. Put in a new battery and now it starts and runs at the turn of the key! Idles smoothly. There is surface rust on the entire underside. It now has rust thru on the floorpan of the drivers side and although it does still have some front brakes, the brake lines need replacement. Where the passengers front shock connects is also now rusted. Also needs a tail pipe. Muffler and cat are fine. Headliner is sagging. None of this is a big deal to me, but I'm 500 miles away. If the car were in VA, I would repair it. Parts are cheap and readily available. But at shop prices, it would take too many man hours to fix. It was the best model they made in 1993, has the AWD Selec-trac full time 4x4 in addition to the part time. It has power everything and is a great riding vehicle. Still looks great. The lift kit makes it go easily in the deepest snow. The tires and wheels shown on the earlier pics have been removed and replaced with 225x75x15 Firestone Destination A/T winter tires with lots of tread, mounted on the correct Cherokee OEM alloy wheels. They are excellent in snow. With the lift, it could handle much larger ones. The engine is a Jasper reman with approximately 50,000 miles that my mechanic had installed for the previous owner (that's why I bought it!). The odometer is in kilometers, so I suspect it was originally a Canadian car. I purchased it in Reston, VA where Carfax says it spent most of its' life. I don't think I put more than 5000 miles on it during my ownership. I just looked at the Carfax and I can say, truthfully, that you need to believe the odometer on this one and do the kilometer/mileage conversion. The pictures tell the story. They last forever. Too good to part and too far away for me to fix! It will drive up on a trailer, but you will need to tow it due to the lack of brakes.
