There were only about 4000 Z28`s produced in 1971 half as many as in the 1970 production year so they are very, very desirable and you just cant find a Solid Southern Original Mile Documented Z these days. The Z was bought new in New Mexico and stayed in Albuquerque until now. The car was an amazimg garage find that had been stored in a climate controlled facility for over 20 years and is an amazing rust free survivor with one repaint. The original motor was replaced with a Chevrolet Warranty replacement block engine code CE (Chevrolet Exchange). The Z 28 features Power Disc Brakes, 4 Speed Muncie Transmission, and the Z28 package which includes the high RPM 8K Track and Heavy Duty Suspension. The car has 78000 original miles and is incredibly dry and solid. The engine block casting number is /3970010 with Fuelie Heads, high lift cam and a holly carb.
