Up for bids is this 1959 Ford Galaxie 500 Town Victoria, needs total restoration. Chrome queen! Vehicle was originally equipped with a 292cu V8 with Fordomatic transmission, it has been upgraded to a 5.0L/302cu V8 with AOD transmissionand a two barrel carburator. Electronic ignition, Reasons for the engine being upgraded is the original engine threw a rod, original engine and transmission have been disposed of. Vehicle was driven daily up until the engine went bad. Vehicle appears to have been painted black and white at some piont. The original color was turquoise with white. Original seats where reupholstered at one point of its life as well. The car has all four original 14" wheels with babymoon hubcaps. The tires have lots of tread but are severly dry rotted! Currently vehicle is not running and has been parked for a year. Would not take much to get it running again, was running when parked. Running does not mean driving, I never got around to installing the linkage to the transmission on the car. The car has a custom built Continental kit, looks fantastic, very close to original! Has spolight on drivers side, Whip antenna pictured is not included. 99% complete in parts! Original radiator has a leak. Please view pictures carefully, what you see is what you get! I can get the car to start and run at extra cost! 302cu/5.0L V8 removed from a 1988 Lincoln Towncar with approx 80K original miles. Spotlight and bracket have been stolen, they are no longer on the vehicle. I do not know any information about the paint or body work done to the vehicle, The floors appear to be solid, I assume that since it is an Arizona car that it is rust free, no guarantees. Any one not following through with the auction will be reported to Ebay and appropriate feedback will be left. Any out of state buyer will need to contact their own DMV office for registration and transfer information. There is a clear title on the vehicle. The vehicle can be stored free of charge for up to two weeks after full payment has been received. A $20.00 a day storage fee will be charged there after the two free weeks are up, until vehicle is picked up. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 dollars must be received by me within 24 hours of close of auction via money order, cashiers check sent over overnight express mail only, if you wish to pay the deposit via Pay Pal a $20 fee will be added to the total of the vehicle to cover Pay Pal fees! You must also make contact with me within the 24 hours close of auction. If the deposit does not arrive within the 24 hours close of auction or no contact is made, the purchaser has forfeited the purchase of my vehicle, by not following the terms and conditions of this auction and the vehicle will be relisted! If for some reason this is impossible for you please email me PRIOR to the close of auction and I will be happy to work out other arrangements for you, however the deposit must reach me as soon as possible. After that, the full payment needs to be received within the next five business days of close of auction. In other words, full payment balance after deposit is due 5 business days after the auction ends, and must be paid via cash, cashiers check, or money order. Cash preferred! If the deposit is not received within the 24hrs and/or the buyer has not made any contact within that time period, the vehicle will be relisted and a non payment claim will be made to Ebay. Vehicle & title will not be released or signed over until cashiers check clears (3-5 business days) due to counterfeit check scams.
