Vehicle Detail
Offered is my BMW 735i that has been driven regularly by me for the past two years. The early seven series BMW has become an icon for high speed touring in the German tradition and here is an example that you can enjoy as you restore it. It became the car to be seen in because it offers performance, style, and exclusivity in an attractive package. Here is a classic Bimmer that runs, is in good shape, and makes a great highway cruiser. But, in fairness, this vehicle was made twenty-five years ago and if you look close, she shows her age. The tire need replacing, the headliner is missing, and she's ready for a tune-up. I bought new front brake discs and pads, but have never installed them. They go with the car. True mileage is unknown and the electronic display panel that show the odometer has never worked for me. The guy I bought it from claimed that it had about 65,000 miles and I've easily put on another twenty. His estimate had some support from an old Carfax, but who really knows at this point? It spent most of its life in California which may account for its condition. In the past two years, some significant work has been done. Besides regular oil changes, over a grand was spent rebuilding the air conditioning system. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny during the incredibly hot summers we've had. This summer I replaced the water pump. I have never seen the car run hot or burn oil. I also added a JVC CD stereo with Bluetooth so I could handle phone calls easily. This is not some garage queen that has spend months under a cover. She has been driven regularly and made a 250 mile trip last week with ease. I believe she would cruise to either coast, but cannot guarantee what will happen ten miles down the road given the age of the car. You can assume the risk and drive her home or take a more conservative approach. I'm selling because I'm moving in two months and need to thin out the stable. So if you want a good looking BMW that you can enjoy tomorrow, here she is. There is no reserve, so make your best bid! TERMS: Please read carefully, your bid indicates you have agreed to all of the following. Of course the BMW is sold AS IS, WHERE IS with absolutely no warranty. It's garaged in Terre Haute, Indiana, about fifteen minutes north of Exit 11 off Interstate 70. The buyer will have full responsibility for getting the car to its new home. A non-refundable deposit of $500 US must be received within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Payment in full must be received within ten calendar days after the close of the auction and the car must be removed within fourteen calendar days. Bidders with less than a feedback score of ten may have their bid cancelled if they do not send me a message through eBay before bidding. Just tell me that your serious; there's a lot of nonsense going on with car auctions -- witness the number of ones relisted. Your bid indicates that you have read and accepted these terms. Go for it!
