Vehicle Detail
no title, alabama does not issue a title on cars this old. this was originally a firebird 350, it was cloned into a t/a around 2004. i have a lot of documents including a copy of the invoice to the dealer from pontiac historical society and a small newspaper write up about the car. the floor pans and subframe are excellent (either in like new condition or replaced during the resto-mod) the body is 95 percent plus rust free. there is a little bit starting behind the rear passenger tire but as a driver i wouldn't worry about it for a few years.the documents show some suspension work done in 2005 and it seems solid but does drift to the left if you take your hands off the wheel. so, figure on an alignment sooner or later.10 bolt possi with 373 gears. turbo 400. 71 poncho 350 that i just had built from the bottom up i've put a few hundred miles on it. relatively stock build but the heads have been shaved, it's bored to .040 over and has a very close to stock cam, edelbrock performer intake and a holley 670 street avenger carb.all glass is good. a couple of flaws in the interior. when they put the headliner in they didn't cover the filler panels between the headliner and the back deck for some reason. there are a couple of cracks in the dash pad.it has a set of dakota digital gauges ( definitely not something i would have done) and the ducts are missing for the heat and air. a/c compressor is missing. seats are good door panels are good.this is an extremely solid car that is a great cruiser just like it is and is only short step from a show car. it has great low end torque and is getting about 14 or 15 mpg right now. the temperature stays between 185 and 193 under any condition. i got caught in traffic for about an hour the friday before christmas and was waiting to see what would happen. most of the older cars i've brought back to life the last few years have had high c/r engines and they don't idle in traffic well at all. i think this engine is still at or around 8.5:1 and it handles traffic on 87 octane just like my modern vehicles. the hood is fiberglass. all lights work expect for the driver side high beam comes on with the low lamp (could be a low beam bulb in the wrong spot?). all chrome looks like new.the car is for sale locally and i reserve the right to end the auction. don't bid without contacting me if you have less than 10 feedback or ANY negative feedback. this is as is with no warranty and no returns. there should be no issues because i have described the car accurately. i will not ship the vehicle, that is the buyer's responsibility but i will work with the shipper and take the car to an area where loading will be easy.any serious buyers should ask questions and request pictures. i will consider trades or partial trades for most pre 1973 vehicles. i like fat fender trucks from the 40's and 50's, coupes from the 30's and 40's, muscle cars (not a big pony car fan, that's why this one is for sale) or 70's cudas. i don't care about matching numbers, i'm a driver not a collector. i would consider a 2009 or later challenger or even the right corvette or a ram 2500 or 3500 with a cummins 5.9 (must be in good shape and not worn out).
