Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 2004 Subaru WRX. 2.0 4 cylinder turbocharged, all wheel drive. 5- speed manual trans, World Rally Blue exterior and Black interior. I would categorize this vehicle to be in excellent shape. Runs and drives excellent, needs nothing just get in and go. This vehicle has 219k miles, however you would not know it by driving it. This car runs better than some 50k mile examples that I've driven. Doesn't leak or burn a drop of oil, engine makes good power and runs nice and smooth with no odd noises or smells. No problems or trouble lights. Transmission shifts nice and smooth, with no odd diff noises or crunchy gears. Shifts like butter in and out of every gear. The exterior of this car is in nice shape. No major dents or damage, but you will find a couple scratches and road rash here and there. The plastic hood scoup did start to lose some paint, however I did re-touch it when I bought the car. Looks ok, but starting to fade. Could probably use a respray to be perfect. I also touched up a couple small rust bubbles on the back quarter panel, right where the 1/4's meets the bumper. Subaru's are notorious for rusting in that area, so I grinded out the bubbles and touched it up with factory paint. Again I'm not a body man here, but the purpose of those touchups were to stop the cancer in its tracks before it caused any real damage. You can hardly tell the touchups are there, but they're there. Front bumper has some rock chips, this car did spend alot of time on the highway. Other than those minor imperfections, the car shines up nice and looks pretty good. The interior is nice as well, no damage or tears. Driver seat bottom has a little wear. Not sure why as I dont have a particularly large bottom, and neither did the previous owner. SEE PICS, what you see is what you get. All other seats are nice, no nasty stains or tears anywhere. Power sunroof, central locking, heated front seats, power windows, a/c, heat, in dash cd changer, keyless entry, cruise control....everything works as it should. I would not be embarassed to pick up a date in it. Drivetrain is in great shape. Vehicle had an extremely long commute with its previous owner, hence the miles. Over 100 miles a day if I recall. I purchased the car at 209k and the original motor had a bit of a rod knock. The oil had gone low because of the turbo, so required replacement. I purchased an engine with 130k for it, and prior to the install I replaced the clutch, all timing components (including water pump) crank, cam and rear main seals, as well as rocker cover and oil pan gaskets. Also changed diff and trans fluid at the time. Previous owner had just replaced all shocks with OEM units. This engine has travelled another 10k since I replaced it almost 2 years ago, and has been flawless since. I have just last month changed all the brakes and changed the oil. So all you have to do is literally get in it and drive....should not need a thing until its next timing belt service, which I would recommend in another 50k. I would also like to add this this car is 100% bone stock, never modified or molested in any way. The amount of miles its travelled and its condition is a testament to how good these cars can be when they are taken care of. Adult owned all its life, no 17 year old hoodrats upping the boost or throwing stupid wheels and suspension on it. I would highly recommend any interested buyers to contact me prior to auctions' end, you are more than welcome to come check out the car and take a test drive. I purposely did a 10 day auction starting on thursday so that bidders have two full weekends to see the car. I am also available after 6p est during the week. I would also like to add that I'm not a dealer or financing company, so CASH on delivery is required. No financing, no sign and drive. I would be happy to help with delivery or shipping within reason, however all costs to be paid by the BUYER. I require a $200 deposit at auction's end, and full payment and pickup to be resolved within 7 days. No, I wont wait for you to get a loan from Montel Williams...make sure you have the cash when you bid. Remember, this is a NO RESERVE auction, so bid to buy! Those with less than 10 positive feedback must email me with your intention to buy, otherwise your bid will be deleted. No, I will not end the auction early, no matter what you offer me. Thanks, and happy bidding! **ATTENTION: I would like to add a couple more details concerning this car. I have been asked by a couple people if this car had any salvage or flood history...IT DOES NOT. Am I putting this car up for sale too cheap? Starting to think so.... anyway, just to be clear; THIS VEHICLE HAS NO SALVAGE OR FLOOD HISTORY. It was not hanging out down the shore during hurricane Sandy. I did not let Snooki and Jwoww stain any of my seats with their greasy weaves. I live in North NJ, nowhere near the recent unpleasantness of the storm. Its never been wrecked raced or rallied. Title is clear, with no liens, ready to be transferred to the new owner without issue. I welcome anyone interested in the car to come by with their CSI kit to check it out. Tire kickers and window lickers however ARE NOT WELCOME.
