Vehicle Detail

I'm selling this Volkswagen Beetle on behalf of my employer (an automotive repair garage). We took it on trade in exchange for work performed. You are bidding on a 1979 Volkswagen Beetle convertible. The millage is what the odometer reads, but if i where to guess i would think it has 113,626. The car appears to be in excellent shape both cosmetically and mechanically. The car's paint is shiny with no visible signs of rust anywhere. The interior has been re-upholstered at some point in leather. The Volkswagen fuel injected engine has recently been rebuilt and runs great. The mag wheels are in great shape and the tires have plenty of tread remaining. As far as I can tell everything on the car is in good working order. That being said this is a 34 year old automobile and is being sold in AS IS condition. But if you're looking for a fun classic car to ride around in this summer, this one is hard to beat. The car is located in Woodbury Connecticut and is available for inspection. I'm willing to help out anyway I can, however the buyer is ultimately responsible for arranging shipping. A $500 deposit is required immediately after the auction is over with the remaining balance due within 10 days. After 20 days a $35 a day storage fee will apply. Feel free to contact me with any questions. happy bidding. On Feb-10-13 at 20:01:53 PST, seller added the following information: Here are some popular Questions. 1. As far as the transmission goes, it's fine. The linkages is a little sloppy but all the gears are there. 2. The undercarriage is pretty solid, a little rust here and there but nothing major. I will try to put some pictures up today. 3. the dashboard is in great shape and is completely crack free. 4. the convertible top looks great there are no rips or tears. I would think it would have had to have been replaced recently. As for its operation, I actually have never opened it but I assume it works fine but??? 5.The running boards are made out of metal, they look Factory to me with a custom piece of trim on them but I'm not sure. 6.The heater channels appear to be all there as well. I have been trying to put up pics of the underneath of the car for 3 day now, ebay is "working on it"so hopefully soon. When i was taking them i noticed the right inner CV boot is leaking some grease so it will probably need a new boot.
