Up for auction is this all original 1974 Oldsmobile 442 Hurst Olds Indianapoilis 500 Pace car. They were a total of 1420 Hurst Olds Replica Pace Car produced in 1974 and they came in White and Black with Gold accents, this is one of the 1420 produced. This Olds is special without question not only is it all original but it was ordered with the optional Dual Gate Hurst Shifter as well as the Hurst Olds Digital RPM Gauge...two extremely rare and very cool options. When purchased in 1976 from the original owner he stated the car was as you see it now, amazing! All original and was purchased new in Bozeman Montana and now has a clean Arizona Title, it passed the emissions test first time through, this car is in great original shape, runs excellent and really is a pleasure to drive. The other 1,420 had a 350 cubic-inch Rocket V8 with 180 horsepower. This Hurst/Olds is one of the 1,420. This 2 door car is black with gold stripping and decals. The roof is white vinyl with the black roof band that splits the vinyl top in two at the B pillar to simulate the targa top on the actual pace car. The original interior is white vinyl with contrasting black carpet accented with white and wood grain styled- door panels. Original Rally wheels, non-powered windows and doors and tilt steering wheel. Air conditioning was added after purchase. Car is in very good condition and has been garaged its entire life. The car was originally purchased in Bozeman, Montana. This 1974 Hurst Olds passed the Washington State and Arizona emissions test the first time. The car runs beautifully and fun to drive.
