This vehicle is being sold AS IS with NO WARRANTY!! It is being sold by the Frederick County Narcotics Task Force and is being sold "auction style" to conform with our policy on seizures. The auction is for local pick up or the buyer can arrange for delivery after all of the paperwork has been completed. The vehicle is a 1998 Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer package 4x4 with an automatic transmission. The four wheel drive switches by turning a knob on the dash. The vehicle was seized in 2009 and has been used by the Task Force as a covert vehicle in the past few years. We have put 14,306 miles on it since May of 2009 so it has not been used very much. While we were using the vehicle, it did receive mechanical service routinely. It has an AM/FM cassette and CD player. Automatic windows, auto locks, cruise control and auto seats. It also has a sunroof and leather seats. The center console is torn up a little bit as shown in the pictures. The rear hatch opens as a whole or just the window part and the seats fold down for hauling large items. There is a 2" ball on the bumper of the Explorer but it does not have a traditional towing package. The passenger window does NOT go up or down. This may be an easy fix - I have no idea but it doesn't work and we did not attempt to fix it. The tires on the Explorer are Goodyear Wrangler's with a good amount of tread left on them which can also be seen in the pictures. Other features on the vehicle include running boards and keyless entry. There are no obvious dents or scratches and the body appears to be in pretty good shape. There is no "Buy it Now" price and I cannot trade it for anything based on our policies for disposing of seized vehicles.
