Vehicle Detail
1994 Honda CB1000 "The Big One". If you are viewing this auction, then you already know what this bike is... With just over 20k original miles, this bike is in over-all excellent condition. Purchased last spring in Lexington, KY from a professor at the University of Kentucky. He stated that the original owner was a Honda technician in Columbus, OH. Bike was fully serviced every spring since new, regardless of mileage accrued the previous year. It may not be HRC museum quality, but it's close... Runs & rides like it should. Never downed, clean/clear KY title. This is a NO RESERVE auction! Modifications:-Was told by the previous owner that the original carburetors were upgraded/replaced with early model CBR1000 carbs. I do not know this for sure, but the bike runs very well & pulls strong. Last summer the carbs were tuned/synched.-K&N air filter in the airbox, stock exhaust system with a period correct Vance & Hines SS2r bolt-on muffler installed.-Handlebars are aftermarket(do not know what brand), new Renthal grips installed last year.-To my knowledge, everything else on this motorcycle is original equipment(excluding tires, fluids, etc.).Flaws:Not many to speak of, but I'm pretty anal about my bikes and I want to be as honest as possible so there will be no issues when new owner takes delivery. Nothing here detracts from the overall beauty of this bike.-As with most 20 year old bikes, the paint does have a couple minor imperfections. Absolutely no dents, scratches, or cracks anywhere! ...There are however a couple bb sized touch-ups on the gas tank & the front fender has some very light scuffing in the clearcoat. Overall, cosmetic condition 8.5/9.0 out of 10...-Gauges have some light discoloration on the backside. It looks to me like there was a windshield mounted at some point in time.-Little rubber cover for the alternator leads is broken & only partially there. If you look closely at any of these particular motorcycles, this is common.-Plastic ring on the right front fork that holds the front fender is cracked & secured with electrical tape. New one from Honda costs <10 bucks.-Back-lighting for the tachometer works intermittently(tachometer functions as it should). Another sub-$10 fix. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence. Again, this is a NO RESERVE auction! The new owner is going to be very happy with this bike and I know that someday I will regret selling this "big one". It gets compliments and admirers everywhere it goes and you will not find another one this clean in this price range. If the buy-it-now option is used, I will deliver the motorcycle within a 150 mile radius. This could include KY, OH, WV, TN...? My ZIP code is 40351. I will not ship this bike anywhere. With a buy-it-now purchase, I will also include a factory Honda service manual, 2 sets of new OEM front brake pads(uninstalled, new rear pads were installed last summer & the fronts had 50% left at that time), and a brand new Michelin Road2 front tire(uninstalled. Currently the rear tire is a Road2 with over 50% tread left & the front tire is a Dunlop Sportmax with about 50% tread remaining). If you have any questions please call Jesse at (606)369-1213 before bidding. I also have this bike listed for sale locally & reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks and good luck!
