For Sale is a 1996 Mustang GT 4.6 5 speed manual. Project car, not running currently. The car has 129,000 miles on the odometer, carfax shows it had 134,000 in 2006, actual mileage is not known. The car is a modified 4.6 with aftermarket cams, long tube headers, no convertors and series 40 flowmaster mufflers with dumps under the car. There are MSD coils and Ford racing plug wires on it, and a short throw shifter. The 8.8 rear end has a 3.73 gear as per the last owner. The reason the car is considered a project, is the car overheated last summer, when the cooling fans failed. The engine got hot real quick, and oil pressure went to 0. Shut the car down, came back to it about 3 hours later, it started right back up, and after warming up, lost oil pressure again. I shut it down, and had it towed. I has not been repaired in any way or diagnosed to find the cause of the failure other than the cooling fan stopped working. The car sat at a family members house, they pushed the car with their Lexus, and scratched up the front bumper with the license plate screws on his car. Went to start up Mustang and now starter does nothing, no click, only relay is heard. The battery was taken out of the car and no battery will be included with it. If a battery is put in it will push start, but oil pressure issue is still there when it gets hot. Car is being sold as is-and considered not running, must be towed away. It is very possible the car needs an engine, but could be oil pump, plugged pickkup screen. Engine made ticking noise up top, did not take anything apart, need for the cash forces the sale. Somewhere along the line, the front leather power seats were replaced with manual cloth seats from a lower line Mustang to save the weight. The car had Nitrous on it, and the bottle bracket is still in the trunk. The intake inlet tube has the hole where the nozzle for the wet NOS inlet was. The wheels on the car in the picture will not be on the car at delivery, there will be a set of 4 matching v6 wheels on the car, there is a picture of the wheels also included, but I did not take pictures with them on the car. The car has been repainted silver, was originally black. There are a few flaws in the paint, and some spots that have some rust bubbles in them. There was a Cobra aftermarket hood installed on the car when the repaint was done, the hood is nice. The rear spoiler was removed some time ago, I think to save the weight. The holes were plugged, but there is still foam stuck to trunk lid. There is some rust on the bottom in floor pans and the trunk area, pictures show what is there. I my best to describe the car to the best of my knowledge. The car is owned by a friend of mine, and I am listing for him. I will try my best to answer any questions. There is a clear Illinois title. The car is still considered used, with that being said, there is no warrantys or guarantee included and is sold as is. International buyers are welcomed.
