Vehicle Detail
up for auction is my 1970 olds cutlass 2 door holiday coupe hardtop. my car was originally built in freemont california, then sold in sunny rustfree el paso texas at horn oldsmobile on montana ave. it has the original engine, transmission and rear differential. i repainted the car about 2 years ago, factory astro blue with duponts best, base coat, clear coat. 3 coats of base and 4 coats of clear. i also repainted the factory original rally wheels with the same paint process, polished the factory trim, then mounted the tires. all the stainless steel exterior trim is original to the car and has been professionally polished to show quality. the car has all new weatherstripping and during the restoration process i decided to add additional sound deadner to the unmolested rustfree floors. all of the front suspension has been replaced with new moog, ball joints, tie rod ends, center link, idler arm, all the control arm bushings, etc. the original numbers matching 350 engine has been rebuilt and during the build an aftermarket aluminum intake and holley carb were added. the battery was also replaced about a year ago, its a red top optima and i also replaced the negative and positive battery cables. it has new dual exhaust with stock manifolds and stainless steel trumpet exhausts tips. the transmission was rebuild and a new convertor installed, its a turbo 350. the factory 12 bolt rear axle was untouched and works perfect and has 2:56 gears. all five tires were replaced during the restoration process. i upgraded the suspension with new factory front and rear sway bars and bushings. i also installed a new delco moraine brake booster, new master cylinder, rebuilt front brake calipers and new rotors ( also repacked the front wheel bearings). the fuel tank and fuel sending unit have been replaced with new and during the exchange, i found the original build sheet that will go along with the car in the sale. the pearle interior has been completely upgraded to show qualitiy with all new seat covers, new door panels, arm rests and bases, new carpet, new headliner, rear package tray, seat divider, etc. the same attention to detail was also used in the trunk area, factory jack and tools, spare tire, new splatter spray paint along with new factory oldsmobile mat. very nice clean, straight car! clear new mexico title in my name. dont miss your chance to own a numbers matching 1970 cutlass that has been tastefully restored. warren beaty 915-478-3259
