Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration is an unmolested, well cared for survivor that I have done quite a bit of recent maintenance work to so it can be enjoyed, trouble free for another 30 years. The details are as follows: Carbs completely rebuilt using an ultrasonic machine with all screws, linkages etc. clean as new. Dyna jet kit installed and set up for a K&N air filter with stock exhaust. The kit is included and has remaining jets and instructions should you decide to add a 4 into 1 exhaust. This has improved the required extended warm up a little, but more importantly it has improved the low end lean throttle response, and now the bike fuels as it should, once warmed up with no flat spots, backfiring etc...VERY nice. The valves have been adjusted (only number 2 exhaust needed re-shimming) with a new Honda valve cover gasket. 4 new spark plugs. K&N air filter cleaned and re-oiled. Oil and filter changed within last 100 miles. The bike has Avon Tires with very low mileage (approx. 90% tread) not sure on age though, newer battery, and a newer o ring chain with good sprockets. The transmission and clutch have zero issues and work as new. Starter motor works as it should, and bike starts easily. Wheels true and damage free. The fork oil has been changed and the required air added to the forks with no oil leaks or weeping at the fork seals. The suspension both front and rear works as it should. Brake fluid flushed using Motul brake fluid, brake pads are 75-90%, the rotors are warp free and the bike stops better than you would expect. All the paint on the bike is new, show quality, performed at a body shop, and very nice. The inside of the tank has no rust. The gauges are in excellent condition and work fine, with minimal fade that is common to this model. The seat cover is new and correct for this model, with good foam pad. The chrome is in excellent condition. The pipes are in near mint condition with only one very minor ding on the right rear pipe that is mostly hidden out of sight and hard to see. Look for yourself in the included photo. The pipes are solid and have no holes or rust issues, with only minor surface rust at the collectors under the motor, which is very typical for this model. Bike comes with an extra rear fender should you decide to go for the Freddie Spencer superbike look and cut it down at the license plate. The bike has a clear title. The headlight lense has one crack shown in pics and does not leak water, or distort the headlight beam at night. All electric works with zero cuts, tape, or soldering on harness. This is a very nice bike that I would feel confident about taking on a cross country trip as it sits right now. Please feel free call, text, or e mail with questions Mark @ 707 333 5762 If you have zero feedback you will need to call me to make arrangements before bidding. The bike will not leave my premises until all funds have cleared my bank. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and I will be glad to store the bike inside and covered while you make arrangements.
