Vehicle Detail
Having a baby in 3 months, selling my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi ***THIS CAR DOES USE OIL, DRIVEN DAILY - THE ENGINE WILL NEED WORK AS IT IS USING OIL *** PRICED ACCORDINGLY I bought this car about a year and a half ago at auction, and I've driven it daily since. While it is a really good looking, running, and driving car, I want to be clear that it uses oil and will need repair in the future. I drive it 40 miles+ per day to work and check the oil regularly, adding maybe a quart or so a month (I just check it once a week and top it off). I have had the clutch, timing belt/water pump, tune up/105K service done with Subaru parts. The VF-30 turbo was upgraded to a VF-40 (stock on the 07' sti) due to shaft play. Replaced the brake pads and tires when I bought it. My brother in-law is a Subaru technician in VA and he has done the work. I'm not a mechanic, had planned on fixing it over time as I drove it, and I have been told that the rings are probably worn. Now that we're expecting it's time to let it go. Again, it uses oil, there's a bit of an oil drip (not bad, notice a dime size spot if it's parked for awhile), there's a knocking sound in the suspension that comes and goes (apparently it's common for the struts to knock on the 04'), there are some dings & scrathces and some wear on the interior - common with age of the car.... overall it's a nice car - however, I'm pricing it with the necessary repairs in mind. No check engine lights, everything works. Please don't buy this car without expecting to spend money/time repairing it. Please don't ask me a ton of technical questions as I won't be able to answer them. I might be able to negotiate a little but it will depend on how easy you make the transaction (i.e. cash, getting it done quickly, actually paying for it and picking it up...) Car is sold as is with no warranty. I will not ship the car, but I will try to help you as much as I can. A $500 deposit via PayPal will be required immediately, you can pay the balance in cash when you pick it up or via paypal within 7 days of purchase. No low ballers, scammers, spammers please. It's a fair price for this car - I would probably actually make money if I parted it out but want to sell it quickly. THANKS FOR LOOKING
