Vehicle Detail
I'm selling one of my favorites because I'm out of work and I gotta pay the rent. This machine is a combination of 2 '82 GS1100e's--a titled frame and a low mileage donor. The mileage reading is of the motor not the frame. The title claims otherwise. The front forks are from a low mileage '94 GSXR1100, combined with a cbr954 top triple and clip-ons. The lower triple is GSXR1100(Yes--it really does work!). Tires are Pirelli Corsa 3's, very sticky. Rear suspension is original stock swingarm and shocks, rides very nicely. I welded some mounts to the frame for the passenger pegs and fabricated plates for the rearsets and headlight from 1/4" 6061 grade aluminum. The exhaust is a Mac pipe with a shortened Hindle can, very nice sound and not particulately loud. I have had no ground clearance issues with these upgrades. The carbs are from an '83 1100e and rejetted. They work well through the whole power range, although it might could use an increase on the main jet size. Front sprocket is a 530 5/8 offset 15-tooth, rear is a 43-tooth. This is very close to stock, and just like an original, it pulls like a freight train. I love this bike. Just hate to see it go. The original charging systems on these GS's were not the best from Suzuki. The bike has a new stator and a mosfet-type rectifier/regulator; one of the pictures shows the charge rate at a fast idle. I have had no problem with plugging in the electric vest and riding with the high beam on all day. Paint color is Chrysler Intense Blue Pearl with about 3-4 coats Spray Max 2k Clearcoat. The bike has been very dependable, starts right up and goes through a typical cold-blood GS warm-up. (This is not my first GS--I still have 3 more). OK I think that's about it. There's more details I could give, but the new owner (You?) will most likely get them. Thanks for looking Happy Bidding!
